Harrah's Hoosier Park: Sons of JK Endofanera sweep in Indiana Sires Stakes

Soaring Now and JK Victory won the two $50,500 Indiana Sires Stakes contests for 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers that took place at a rainy Harrah's Hoosier Park on Friday night.
Driver Andy Shetler had Soaring Now on the lead at the 26 1/5 opening quarter in the first flight, but he was shuffled back in the middle-half as first Oneshotatthetitle (Lewayne Miller) brushed to the top heading to the 54 1/5 half and then Fulfullnmydestiny (James Yoder) came with a first-over blitz that carried him into the lead on the rim on the way to the 1:23 three-quarters.
Fulfullnmydestiny turned for home first, but he weakened in the lane as Big Law (Sam Widger) passed him to the outside and Soaring Now split Fulfullnmydestiny and Oneshotathetitle to find room. Once he was free, Soaring Now had the most pace and out-footed Big Law to tally by a length in a 1:50 1/5 clocking. Lucks On Time (Brandon Bates) checked in the third spot.
A JK Endofanera colt bred by Luckiana Farm, Soaring Now is trained by Aaron Stutzman for owner James Miller. Soaring Now has a record of 4-2-0 from nine lifetime starts, has now earned $74,500, and paid $5.20 to win as the 8-5 second choice.
In the other grouping, JK Victory (Trace Tetrick) took the top spot away from Ponda Warrior (Jimmy Whittemore) beyond the 26 3/5 opening quarter and then maintained control through a 54 3/5 half and a 1:22 4/5 three-quarters. Ponda Warrior would chop into JK Victory's margin in the lane, but it wasn't enough, as JK Victory kept him at bay to score by three-quarters of a length in 1:49 3/5. Rip Wheeler (Bates) rallied for third.
