Harrah's Hoosier Park: Sea Silk sails to victory in USS Indianapolis Memorial

Sea Silk bounced back after finishing 11th in the Glen Garnsey Memorial and seventh in the Breeders Crown in her last two outings, taking Friday night's $100,000 USS Indianapolis Memorial for 3-year-old pacing fillies at Harrah's Hoosier Park in 1:50 3/5.
Starting from post one and driven by Chris Page, Sea Silk fired out quickly and left out a two-wide Patsville (John De Long) for almost all of the 26 4/5 opening quarter before releasing her to sit in the pocket just before that marker. Patsville maintained command through a 55 second half and a 1:23 three-quarters with Galleria Hanover (Yannick Gingras) going first-over out of fourth on the final bend but stalling out before they turned for home.
In the lane Patsville dug in and braced for Sea Silk as Page moved her off the pylons, but Patsville offered little resistance when Sea Silk joined her. Once she had command, Sea Silk pulled away from Patsville and the others, winning by 2 3/4 lengths. Patsville did hold off Galleria Hanover for second, and they were followed by Lee Loo (Trace Tetrick) and JK's Rollin Baby (Atlee Bender).
