Harrah's Hoosier Park: Rollin Rosie rocks in Indiana Sires Stakes

Rollin Rosie followed along on the inside and then had a strong kick after angling out in the lane to win the single $134,000 Indiana Sires Stakes dash for 2-year-old pacing fillies on Thursday night at Harrah's Hoosier Park.
Driven by Jordan Ross, Rollin Rosie secured the pocket behind Polks Image (Peter Wrenn) at the 26 4/5 opening quarter and then would remain on the cones as Jks Lucky Lou (Trace Tetrick) brushed from third to first going to the 55 second half-mile marker.
Jks Lucky Lou maintained the top spot through three-quarters in 1:23 1/5 and into the stretch with Beauty N Grace (Atlee Bender) only able to offer a mild first-over bid out of fourth on the last turn. Meantime, Rollin Rosie was still on the rail but elected to angle out and split horses in the stretch rather than wait for the passing lane.
Once she had space in the drive, Rollin Rosie had plenty of pace to go with it, and she took command inside the final eighth before she drew off to prevail by 3 1/4 lengths in 1:51 3/5. Beauty N Grace kept plugging away despite stalling out on the final bend and did get up for second at the wire over Jks Lucky Lou. There was an inquiry against the winner as she did go inside two consecutive pylons on the last turn, but the judges deemed that she didn't gain an unfair advantage and she wasn't lapped-on, so the result stood.
