?q=100)
Defending Indiana Sire Stakes champion, Martz Seven, steamrolled first-over to pull a mild 4-1 upset in the lone $96,000 split of leg three of Indiana Sire Stakes for sophomore trotting fillies, which highlighted the 14-race Tuesday (June 24) card at Harrah's Hoosier Park.
Leaving from post two in the field of eight, Martz Seven got away third in the early stages, just behind the first turn skirmish between Ponda Fashion (Kyle Wilfong) and 1-2 favorite Better Tak'em (Jordan Ross) to a quarter of 27 2/5. Better Tak'em cleared on the backstretch, but faced immediate pressure from 29-1 shot Woodside Izz (LeWayne Miller), who the favorite released to the lead at the half in 56 1/5. Luna turned Martz Seven loose first-over from fourth on the final turn, taking the tiring longshot to task through three-quarters in 1:25 1/5 with Classical Jane (Trace Tetrick) on her back and Better Tak'em pinned behind the sputtering leader.
Turning for home Martz Seven powered clear with authority, opening up on the field of fillies behind her. Motoring home in 27 3/5, Martz Seven was a wrapped-up winner by 2 3/4 lengths over Classical Jane, with Better Tak'em skirting up the cones late to be third in 1:53.
The clocking was a career best for Martz Seven, who is trained by Walter Haynes Jr. for owners Stephen Stoll and Black & White Stable. Bred by Martz Creek Farm and Roman Stoll, the daughter of Swan For All-La Mirada has won two of four at age three, and five times overall for her career with a lifetime bankroll of $269,087.

Earlier in the evening, driver Kyle Wilfong celebrated his birthday by winning the first four races on the night as part of a five-win night for the driver who sits second in the Hoosier Park driver standings behind Trace Tetrick. Tetrick, Brad Ferguson, Mike Peterson and Marvin Luna each had doubles on the night.
A slew of prices in the second half of the card saw a trio of carryovers that will move into the Wednesday (June 25) action. The early Pick 5 (races 1-5) on Wednesday will feature a carryover of $3,208 with that pool guaranteed at $15,000. A Pick 4 double carryover on Tuesday means the early Pick 4 on Wednesday will feature a carryover of $21,298 with that pool being guaranteed at $75,000. Additionally, the late Pick 4 (races 10-13) and late Hoosier High 5 (race 13) are guaranteed at $10,000, with the guarantees done in partnership with the USTA's Strategic Wagering Program. First post for the Wednesday night program is 6:15 p.m. (EDT).
