Logan Park led all the way from post eight and was a 1:52 1/5 winner in the single $25,000 Breeders Crown Open Trot elimination on Saturday night at Harrah's Hoosier Park. The top eight finishers moved on to the final, joining bye-takers Rattle My Cage and Alrajah One.
Driven by Doug McNair, Logan Park stepped off fractions of 26, 55 3/5 and 1:24 1/5 and held sway over pocket-sitter Southwind Tyrion (Ake Svanstedt) by a neck. It's Academic (David Miller) sat in third and wound up in that position, followed by Delayed Hanover (Jordan Stratton and Pretender (Scott Zeron). Rounding out the finalists were Take All Comers (Tim Tetrick), Lovedbythemasses (Todd McCarthy) and Kildare King (Yannick Gingras) as Venerate (Brian Sears) broke shortly after the start, taking any drama about the others advancing out of the equation.
"He's been good all year, really," offered trainer Rob Fellows after the race. "It was easy (to come down from Canada). He was on a roll, he's raced good, and he's a good horse."

The draw for the Breeders Crown Open Trot final will take place on Monday at a reception that begins at 5 p.m.
