Harrah's Hoosier Park: Indiana Sires Stakes action tops Saturday's card

Best Place To Be and JK's Rollin Baby visited the winner's circle after the Indiana Sires Stakes races for 3-year-old pacing fillies on Saturday afternoon at Harrah's Hoosier Park.
Driven by Sam Widger in the first $49,500 tilt, Best Place To Be trailed in sixth through fractions of 27, 55 4/5, and 1:24, but Widger fanned her out widest in the stretch, and thanks to a final quarter in 26 seconds, Best Place To Be would blast past her five foes and win by half a length in 1:51 2/5. Need To Breathe (Trace Tetrick), who took the lead before the half and continued to show the way into the lane, wound up second, and Marvelous Marshia (John De Long) came in third.

The other $49,000 flight saw Jewel'sbewithus (De Long) in command at the 28 1/5 quarter, but JK's Rollin Baby (Mike Oosting) pulled out of the pocket and hit the front racing to the 56 4/5 half. From there, JK's Rollin Baby would go on to reach three-quarters in 1:25 1/5 and then held off a passing lane attack by Jewel'sbewithus to the wire to score by a neck in 1:51 1/5. Yuengling (Widger) finished third.
