Yo Beth D and driver Trevor Smith blasted to the top from post nine and romped down the road impressively to capture the $270,000 Indiana Sires Stakes Super Final for 2-year-old trotting fillies, the first of four finals for freshman on the Friday night program at Harrah's Hoosier Park.

From the first crop of Helpisontheway, Yo Beth D scored in 1:54 4/5 for the mile after cutting strong fractions of 26 3/5, 55 3/5 and 1:24 4/5. A winner for the seventh time in 10 starts this year, the Todd Luther-trained filly is owned by Greg Luther Racing LLC.

Yo Beth D paid $4.20, finishing in front of a solid-closing T's Pride, with pocket-sitter Helpoftheseason third across the wire.

In the Super Final for colt and gelding trotters, driver Mike Oosting gave a solid third-over trip to second choice Jailhouse Dance, and the altered son of Dover Dan swelled up in midstretch and powered past Talent Scout in the shadow of the wire. Jailhouse Dance scored in a career-best 1:54 1/5 clocking.

Longshot Full Strength carved out fractions of 27 1/5 and 56 2/5 for the opening-half. Talent Scout pulled at that point and attacked for Dexter Dunn, with favored Bourbon Courage second-over and Jailhouse Dance third in the outer tier flow. Following three-quarters in 1:25 4/5, Talent Scout took over and led the rest of the way until the final yards where he was collared and finished second. Brookview Darius rallied late for the third spot.

Trained and part owned by Ken Rucker, Jailhouse Dance is also co-owned by Rock & Roll Stable Inc. and Michael Shan. A 2-1 offering, Jailhouse Dance returned $6.60 to win.

Fortunada, a 15-1 shot, ended the unbeaten season of 1-5 favorite Rollin Rosie, sweeping off cover to score in the Super Final final for pacing fillies. Driven by John De Long, the daughter of Luck Be Withyou stopped the clock in 1:52 4/5 for the mile.

Action was hot and heavy early, with Always In Flight securing the lead past the 26 second opening quarter. Driver Dexter Dunn tried to patiently wait on the outside after leaving, but that patience was not rewarded, as Rollin Rosie needed to work hard just to clear the lead through a 53 4/5 opening half-mile clocking. JKs Lucky Lou moved without cover past the half, and Sleazy Mama followed, with Fortunada third-over for De Long in the outer flow.

Dunn had Rollin Rosie rolling past three-quarters in 1:22 3/5, gaining some separation, but his filly started to show weakness in the late stretch, and first Sleazy Mama seemed perfectly placed to post the upset before Fortunada steamrolled by in the shadow of the finish line.

William C. & William P. De Long share ownership of Fortunada along with Gordon Wright. Roger Welch trains the winner who paid $33. Sleazy Mama finished second, with Rollin Rosie third.

Buzzsaw Russ and De Long waited patiently inside for most of the mile, then found room in mid-stretch and rallied boldly to overtake favored Coach Stefanos nearing the wire to capture the Super Final for pacing colts and geldings.

Coach Stefanos and Trace Tetrick blasted out at the start and established control as Buzzsaw Russ tucked in early on the opening turn. Coach Stefanos cut the quarter in 26 2/5 and half in 54 4/5 before J B Gram moved to the outside to start an offensive. Coach Stefanos continued to back down the pace with no serious challenge the third quarter, hitting that marker in 1:23 and setting his sights on a sprint off in the homestretch.

De Long had other ideas as he angled Buzzsaw Russ, a Rockin Image-sired gelding trained by Melissa Essig off the pylons in mid-stretch, and the response was instantaneous. Buzzsaw Russ scored in 1:50 2/5, a career-best in his ninth start as a freshman. Coach Stefanos had to settle for second money, with Hetolditlikeitwas third across the wire.

A 9-2, proposition Buzzsaw Russ returned $11.40. Buzzsaw Russ is owned by Russell Beeman and Charles Weaver.
