Harrah's Hoosier Park: Glorious Prince makes winning a family affair

While Always A Prince was winning a Graduate Series leg on Saturday night at the Meadowlands, his 3-year-old full brother Glorious Prince also picked up a victory in a $20,000 division of the Star Destroyer on Friday night at Harrah's Hoosier Park.
Glorious Prince (Peter Wrenn) had led the way through fractions of 27 3/5, 55 3/5, and 1:23 3/5, but was overtaken in the lane by a first-over Ollie's Ztam (Ricky Macomber Jr.). Glorious Prince wasn't done, though, as he battled back to reclaim the advantage and went on to score by three-parts of a length in 1:50 2/5. Hot Rod Ryan (Mike Oosting) was up for second, while Ollie's Ztam faded to third.
The victorious Always A Virgin-Glorious Princess gelding is trained by Charles Stewart for owners Julie Rideout, Alan White, Menno Lengacher, and Randy Zhok. He picked up his third career win, and he has now pocketed $22,428. He returned $8.40 to win.
The other Star Destroyer dash for the boys went to Rockie Got Framed (Macomber Jr.), who rallied from sixth in the final quarter to a quarter-length victory in 1:50 4/5. A gelding by Rockin Image, he's trained by Jamie Macomber for owners Rocco Ruffalo and Eleven Star Stables.
Rockin Nola, last year's Indiana Sires Stakes Super Final winner in the 2-year-old filly pace division, took the first of two $20,000 Star Destroyer tests for sophomore pacing fillies in 1:50 1/5, getting up after a pocket trip. Joey Putnam drove the Rockin Image filly for trainer/co-owner Joe Putnam and co-owners Suttons Bay Racing and Novi Trot LLC.
Sweet Heaven (Wrenn), who gave the Lynch elims at Pocono a try last Saturday, took the second split for the ladies by 4 3/4 lengths in 1:51 after moving from fourth to first in the second quarter. A daughter of Sweet Lou, Sweet Heaven is trained by Brian Brown for owners Hutchison Harness LLC., Joe Sbrocco, Mark Kantrowitz, and Country Club Acres Inc.
