Two-year-old male trotters faced off in three Indiana Sire Stakes splits on Wednesday's program at Harrah's Hoosier Park.
Fifty And Famous (Trace Tetrick) won the fastest division when he captured the second $46,500 grouping in 1:55 2/5. After sitting third to the 28 3/5 quarter and the 58 4/5 half set first by So Joyful (John De Long) and then Nectar Of The Gods (Mike Micallef), Tetrick sent Fifty And Famous first-over on the way to the 1:28 three-quarters. In the stretch he wore down Nectar Of The Gods to take over the top spot, and went on to defeat So Joyful by a length and a half. Nectar Of The Gods came in third.

Back in the opening $46,500 section, Steppinouttohelp scored in 1:56 1/5 for trainer/driver Robert Taylor. Steppinouttohelp showed speed from post seven and pressed on two-wide to take control away from Heffae (Lamar Wingard) beyond the 28 second quarter, then stayed in front to the 57 4/5 half and the 1:27 3/5 three-quarters. Steppinouttohelp would polish things off with a 28 3/5 last panel to hold off a rally from third-over Fifty Proof (Tetrick) by a quarter of a length while Heffae finished third.
The victorious Helpisontheway gelding is trained by Taylor for owner Backroad Stable. The Amos Schwartz-bred has a summary of 2-3-1 from nine appearances, has put away $54,324 and returned $33.60 to win as a 15-1 shot.
Yannick Gingras came in to drive Tipsy In Vegas in the last $47,000 tilt and won with him in 1:55 3/5. Leaving from the outside post eight, he made the lead passing the 28 second opening quarter and after a 58 1/5 half and a 1:28 three-quarters, his 27 3/5 kicker got him home a length to the good over pocket-sitter Mendoza Mafia (Atlee Bender). Copperstone (De Long) grabbed third.
Owned by trained Missy Essig, Tipsy In Vegas is another gelded son of Helpisontheway. Bred by Brookside Stables, he won for the fourth time to go with one runner-up result and a pair of thirds from seven efforts, has pocketed $69,165 and paid $4 to win.
