Harrah's Hoosier Park: Erv Miller's fillies dominate in Indiana Sires Stakes

Two-year-old pacing fillies sent out by trainer Erv Miller finished first and second in both $68,000 Indiana Sires Stakes flights on Wednesday night at Harrah's Hoosier Park.
Miller trainee Sleazy Mama (Trace Tetrick) led pocket-sitter and stablemate Beauty N Grace (Atlee Bender) through fractions of 27 1/5, 56, and 1:24 1/5 in the first division. Bender then angled Beauty N Grace to the outside in the lane, and she would rally by Sleazy Mama on her way to a two length victory in 1:51 1/5. Polks Image (Peter Wrenn) came in third.
A daughter of Tellitlikeitis-Safta Perry bred by Victory Hill Farm, Beauty N Grace is owned by Rocco Ruffolo, Bowie Racing LLC., Louis Willinger, and Rick Howles. A $49,000 buy at last year's Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale, Beauty N Grace has won both of her starts, has now earned $69,000, and paid $5.20 to win as the second choice.
The other grouping saw Miller-trained/Tetrick-driven Jks Lucky Lou post panels of 26 4/5, 54 4/5, and 1:23 4/5 before she closed in 27 3/5 to prevail by three lengths in 1:51 2/5. Tell's On A Roll, steered by Bender, rallied for runner-up honors after a second-over trip, and Layallyourloveonme (John De Long) was third.
