Driver John De Long steered For Dayze and Expressive Gal to wins in $67,500 Indiana Sire Stakes divisions for 2-year-old filly trotters on Tuesday night at Harrah's Hoosier Park.
In the first flight Meadowbrook Ashley (Doug Rideout) cut the quarter in 28 1/5 and then yielded to a pocket-pulling For Dayze on the way to the 58 3/5 half. From there, For Dayze went on to three-quarters in 1:28 1/5 and kicked away through the lane to prevail by 3 1/4 lengths in 1:56 1/5. Make It Spicy (Kyle Husted) got up for second from Meadowbrook Ashley.

Help Cum Laude (Aaron Stutzman) clicked off panels of 27 2/5, 56 4/5 and 1:27 in the other section while Expressive Gal and De Long vacated the pylons out of third heading to three-quarters. In the stretch Expressive Gal went by Help Cum Laude and then held off closers to the wire, winning by a quarter of a length in 1:56 3/5. Clear And Cool (Jordan Ross) angled out from off-the-pace in the lane and finished well for second, and Omg Am I Ok (Trace Tetrick) was up for third while in tight quarters.
A daughter of Pilot Discretion bred by Gerald Yoder, Expressive Gal was sent out by Missy Essig for owner Nathan Yoder. Expressive Gal has a summary of 2-2-3 from nine attempts, has pocketed $42,604 and returned $4.40 to win.
