Kicking off the Indiana Sire Stakes season for 2-year-olds on Tuesday (July 7), Harrah's Hoosier Park showcased a trio of divisions for trotting fillies that were won by Queen Ada Jean, Dance Remix and Unburdened.
Queen Ada Jean, driven by Kyle Wilfong for trainer Jay Hochstetler, charged late to win the $46,000 first split on the evening as the 3-1 third choice in the wagering.
Leaving from the rail in the field of seven, Wilfong guided Queen Ada Jean into fourth, allowing for challengers to pass by as the post time favorite Janae (Jordan Ross) went off-stride at the start. Rebuffpinklady (Doug Rideout) was the quickest off the wings, leading to the first quarter in 29 1/5. Queen Ada Jean moved up to third as Gladden (Jay Cross) jumped it off from that spot, while Rebuffpinklady showed the way to the halfway pole in 59 4/5 with Judy's Legacy (John De Long) sitting in second.
At big odds, Rebuffpinklady hit the turn strong, getting separation from Judy's Legacy to the three-quarter pole in 1:29 4/5. However, Queen Ada Jean found her footing in the stretch, gliding past Judy's Legacy before accelerating to the lead and cruising in 1:58 1/5 by 3 1/2 lengths. Savings Account (Marcus Miller) rallied for second from the backfield, while Rebuffpinklady fell to third.
The winning Dover Dan-Challax Hanover filly is owned by Jay Hochstetler, Finkelberg Racing LLC. and South Of The Tracks Rac Inc. The filly was bred by John Bontrager Jr. Queen Ada Jean increased her lifetime earnings to $23,600 with her first career win in two tries. Queen Ada Jean paid $8.40 to win.
Making the track her dance floor, Dance Remix, driven by Jordan Ross for trainer Henry Graber Jr., came from behind to claim the $46,500 second division.
Away from post six, Dance Remix found a seat in mid-pack as Verity (Jared Finn) blitzed to the lead from the outside to command the first quarter turn in 27 4/5. Verity's lead was short-lived as M M's Vision (John De Long) flew past the leader along the backstretch before hitting the halfway mark in 59 seconds. Dance Remix led the charge from fourth, shuffling along the outside as M M's Vision maintained her lead to three-quarters in 1:28 3/5.

Headed for home, Dance Remix turned on the jets, boosting past M M's Vision with a 27 2/5 rally to cross the finish line in 1:56 3/5 while two lengths clear. M M's Vision held for second, while In The Buff (Kyle Wilfong) got up for third.
The victorious 2-year-old is owned by S&R Racing Stables and Indiana Stables LLC., while being bred by Richard Fry. The Rebuff-Antsy Dancey filly made her first deposit of $23,250 into her lifetime earnings account, winning her first start of her career. Dance Remix paid $7.60 to win.
Unburdened followed suit in the $46,000 third division, making her career debut a winning effort with Marcus Miller in the bike for Erv Miller.
Leaving from the rail, Unburdened was away third in line while Satin Serenade (John De Long) rocketed to the top from the far outside to cut the opening quarter in 28 3/5. The field raced single-file on the backstretch, with Satin Serenade laying down middle-half fractions of 59 3/5 and 1:29 2/5 before Miller right lined the 1-2 favorite. Once fed racetrack, Unburdened gobbled up ground, trotting home in 27 2/5 with a statuesque Miller in the bike to cruise to a two length victory. Twister Sister (James Yoder) shook loose for second, with Intricate Dance (Doug Rideout) finishing third.
The winning daughter of Temporal Hanover-Muscle Baby Doll was bred by Black Creek Farm and Hickory Hollow Stables. Unburdened is owned by Ervin Miller Stable, Anthony Lombardi, and D&M Trading Ii and is now one-for-one to begin her career.
