Harrah's Hoosier Park is poised to kick off round one of eight of Indiana Sire Stakes for all four sophomore divisions on a special Memorial Day card on Monday, May 25. The 15-race card will begin with a first post of 5:30 p.m. (EDT), featuring seven splits of Indiana Sire Stakes, with the remainder of the card featuring $16,000 ISS Eligible events. The Memorial Day card also includes a pair of $10,000 guaranteed pools, with those guarantees offered on both the late Pick 4 (races 12-15) and late High 5 (race 15) in partnership with the USTA's Strategic Wagering Program. The finale will serve as the main event on the Monday card, with world champion Odds On Mr Mamba slated to make his 3-year-old debut with Dexter Dunn in the $96,000 lone division for pacing colts and geldings. The fastest 2-year-old in the sport's history with his 1:47 4/5 clocking at Hoosier Park on Oct. 2, 2025, the Melanie Wrenn trainee has prepped for his debut with a trio of qualifiers at Hoosier, including a 1:53 2/5 (26 second last quarter) clocking with Pete Wrenn driving in his last. The gelded son of Odds On Equuleus only tasted defeat in his career debut at age two before winning his remaining seven starts, including the $93,750 Elevation and $250,000 ISS Super Final to bank $314,405 for owner and breeder Odds On Racing. Odds On Mr Mamba will leave from post two in the event, which includes rivals Dancingdreamer (post eight, driven by Aaron Stutzman) and Swiss Lights (post nine, Trace Tetrick). On the other end of the program, pacing fillies will kick off the card with the first of two $48,500 splits in the opener. The Erv Miller-trained Somemore Blue (post two, Marcus Miller) headlines the sextet after she cruised by eight lengths against ISS Eligible company in her sophomore debut with a 1:51 2/5 career-best effort. The daughter of Rockin Image-Missomebeach Blue won her first seven starts at age two, eventually finishing second in the Super Final to arch-rival Whoomp on her way to banking $279,566. Somemore Blue will hook up with Go On BB champion Klorox Queen (post five, Trace Tetrick) and Rock The Charm (post six, John De Long) in the lid-lifter. ► Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter The aforementioned Whoomp makes her 2026 debut in race 11 in the second division. John De Long will pilot the Roger Welch trainee, who was named Indiana's Pacer of the Year in 2025. The De Long homebred daughter of Rockin Image won eight of 13 at two, ending her season with four straight victories, including the $201,000 Kentuckiana Stallion Management and $250,000 ISS Super Final en route to banking $349,601. Welch will also send out For Dayze in the first of two $48,500 divisions for trotting fillies in Race 8. Last year's Super Final champion narrowly missed in her 3-year-old debut by a neck against ISS Eligible company to Honeymoon, who will leave from post two with Trace Tetrick. For Dayze won six of 10 at age two, having been involved in the exacta in nine of 10 in a season that saw her bank $264,800. The second division for trotting fillies features Fresh Face Yankee, who is undefeated in three starts this year for trainer/driver Jay Cross. The daughter of Crescent Fashion-Swan Yankee was a phenom on the fair circuit at two, setting track records at both Frankfort and the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Fresh Face Yankee enters sire stakes after a clean sweep of the Msnaughtybynature Series and will meet last year's Super Final runner-up, Help Cum Laude (post four, Atlee Bender). The trotting colts and geldings have two divisions of nine set to go in Races 10 and 13. The first split features last year's Super Final runner-up, Dan D Man Can (post three, Atlee Bender), August Salazar (post four, John De Long), who has won four of five this season, and last year's Super Final champion, Premier Bluebird (post five, Kyle Wilfong), who makes the second start of his 3-year-old campaign after finishing fourth in the Oak Grove Trotting Derby elimination.
