Aces And Cinches, driven by Kyle Wilfong for trainer Ron Burke, won a nail-biter down the stretch in the single $94,000 division of the fourth leg of Indiana Sire Stakes competition for 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers at Harrah's Hoosier Park on Friday (July 17).
Looking to go back-to-back in the sire stakes, Aces And Cinches cruised out of post five, settling into his spot along the rail into fourth. Meanwhile, Swiss Light (Trace Tetrick) fended off Dancingdreamer (Marcus Miller) for an early lead at the quarter in 26 seconds. On the backstretch, the six-horse field remained unchanged with Dancingdreamer, Door Dash (Kevin Lambright) and Aces And Cinches on the case for challenging the leader as Swiss Light blazed past the halfway mark in 53 3/5.
