The second leg of Indiana Sire Stakes competition for 2-year-old trotting fillies was in the spotlight on Saturday at Harrah's Hoosier Park.

After sitting in second and third through fractions of 27 4/5, 58 1/5 and 1:28 3/5, Meadowbrook Ashley (Doug Rideout) rallied with a 28 second last quarter to get by favored Honeymoon (Jordan Ross) in the closing strides to take the first $46,000 section in 1:57 1/5. Make It Spicy (Kyle Husted) got third.

By You Know You Do, Meadowbrook Ashley was bred by Freeman Bontrager and is trained by Doug Rideout for owners Julie Rideout, Alan White and Dave Gamble. She's won three of her five starts, has earned $27,828 and paid $31.80 to win.

In the next $45,500 flight, Help Cum Laude (Aaron Stutzman) hit the quarter in 28 1/5, then yielded to Swan Girl (Lewayne Miller) before the 57 second half-mile marker. Stutzman wheeled his filly back to the outside before the 1:27 three-quarters, took control again in the lane and couldn't be caught from there, prevailing by a length and three-quarters in 1:56 3/5. You Know Diamonds (Clint Coy) was next, followed by Pastor's Delicacy (Kyle Wilfong).

Stutzman also owns and trains Help Cum Laude, a daughter of Helpisontheway bred by Black Creek Farm. Help Cum Laude broke her maiden in her first pari-mutuel outing and returned $11.80 to win.

For Dayze (John De Long) took the final $46,000 division from first-up in 1:56 3/5, defeating pocket-sitter Dangoodfeelin (Robert Taylor) by 2 1/2 lengths. Clear And Cool (Ross), who set the tempo through stations of 28, 58 4/5 and 1:28, wound up third.

Roger Welch sent out For Dayze, a Swan For All filly bred by Ernie Lambright, for owners William and William P. De Long. For Dayze has won half of her four tries, has banked $51,750 and paid $2.60 to win.
