The week of racing is set to kick off with a bang at Harrah's Hoosier Park with a $100,000 guaranteed Early Pick 5 in races 1-5, including a $25,226 carryover already in the pool for Wednesday, April 22. First post for the 14-race Wednesday program is 5:30 p.m. The Wednesday card also features $10,000 guarantees in both the Late Pick 4 (races 11-14) and Late Hoosier High 5 (race 14), with both of those guarantees offered each Wednesday in partnership with the USTA's Strategic Wagering program. All Pick 4 and High 5 wagers also carry an industry low takeout rate of 12%. The Wednesday night program is headlined by the $22,000 Open Trot in race 6, where Ponda Jet will look to extend his win streak to eight dating back to last year.
