Harrah’s Hoosier Park presents Indiana Super Finals night with $2.43 million in purses on the line for Hoosier State performers of all ages and gaits on Friday, October 11. In addition there is a $7,500 GTD Pick 5 in the opener at 6:15 PM (EDT), a $15K GTD Hi-5 in the finale, and a $20K GTD Pick 4 that we’ll examine below.

Race 12: $250K ISS 2YO C&G Pace Final

(2) CHANDLER BING rides a three-race winning streak into this final and it is likely he won’t be the favorite. That alone makes him very intriguing. While he’s a bit pace reliant, this gelding has proven capable of taking some air and he can fly home. (5) AVANTI comes in off consecutive wins as well and we get first-time Lasix here with Yannick Gingras back in town to drive; likely favorite.

Race 13: $250K ISS 3YO C&G Trot Final

(4) GRUESOME TWOSOME has seen his issues tackling the big boys on the Grand Circuit but remains undefeated in five legs of the Indiana Sire Stakes. The Daryl Botranger trained/driven colt is capable from on or off the pace and anything close to his best effort will result in a victory. If you are looking for backup options or simply want to focus on potential value plays, (5) Winslow, (6) CS Flying Co-pilot and (8) Dashing Danny are the ones to consider.

Race 14: $250K ISS 3YO C&G Pace Final

(3) SABONIS has won 16 of 17 races this year with his last loss coming on May 3. The colt has even won against some Open company. Is he an absolute lock? Maybe not. That said, if he brings his best the rest have no chance to win.

Race 15: $50K ISS 3YO C&G Consolation

(6) PLAY ACTION PASS turned in a pretty big mile on the engine after the barn change to Melissa Essig last time. Gingras joins the team now and that won’t hurt. (2) SKYWAY MASTERPIECE really hasn’t been bad in Sire Stakes but just isn’t as good as the top tier. He fits nicely with the consolation group and gets a new driver as well; very playable. (5) LOVERS TROUBLE returned here with a nice victory last Friday and while he’ll need to go faster this time, that seems within his comfort zone.

.50 Pick 4 Ticket: 2,5 / 4 / 3 / 2,5,6 = $3
