Harrah's Hoosier: Indiana Sires Stakes action rolls on with four flights

Indiana Sires Stakes races continued this week at Harrah's Hoosier Park with divisions for 2-year-old pacing fillies and 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters on Thursday night.
Always Gonna B You (John De Long) sat in the pocket behind JK's Rollin Baby (Trace Tetrick) through fractions of 26 4/5, 55 3/5, and 1:24 2/5 in the first $68,500 split for the rookie pacing fillies. In the lane Always Gonna B You took command and then pulled away to win by 3 1/2 lengths in a life's-best 1:51 2/5. JK's Rollin Baby had to settle for second, and Alloutblitz (Sam Widger) was third.
Dylan Davis trains Always Gonna B You, a daughter of Always A Virgin-Passing Fancy (Somebeachsomewhere) for co-owner/breeder Roll The Dice Stable and co-owner Val D'Or Farms. This was Always Gonna B You's second win from six starts, she has now earned $69,676, and she paid $44.60 to win as a 21-1 offering.
Davis made it a sweep when his Goo Goo Won (Lewayne Miller) captured the other $68,500 section for the girls in 1:53 4/5. She took command past the 28 second opening quarter, and after putting up middle-half stations of 57 4/5 and 1:26 3/5, she came home in 27 1/5 to hold off JJ Endofanera (De Long) by a quarter of a length in 1:53 4/5. Lorraine Smoke (James Yoder) rallied for third.
Goo Goo Won, a Fred And Ginger-Malinka (McArdle) filly is owned by breeders Howard and Judith Taylor. Goo Goo Won now has a record of 2-1-1 from six tries, boosted her bankroll to $59,535, and returned $13.60 to win after being dispatched at 5-1.

In the first $48,500 grouping of the sophomore colt and gelding trotters, Illini Earl (Brandon Bates) carved out panels of 27 2/5, 57 1/5, and 1:26 3/5, but it would be pocket-sitter Swingforthefences (Peter Wrenn) who got home first, as he trotted a 27 4/5 final kicker to get up for the victory by a length and a half in 1:54 4/5. Illini Earl fended off Bodelicious (Mike Oosting) for third.
The victorious Swan For All gelding, who was bred by Concord Stud Farm, is trained by Melanie Wrenn for owners David McDuffee and L&L Devisser LLC. Swingforthefences is now an eight-time winner, has put away $292,916, and paid $3.20 to win as the 3-5 favorite.
The second $49,000 tilt for the trotters saw 82-1 shot Northern Rocks (Alvin Miller) in charge at the 27 4/5 opening quarter and the 56 4/5 half, but pocket-sitter Breckenridge (Dan Shetler) moved around him to take over the top spot on the last turn. After hitting three-quarters in 1:25 3/5, Breckenridge opened up a big lead in the lane and appeared like he might be home-free. However, his strides began to shorten in the last eighth, and Brookview Bolt (Widger), who had tipped first-over from fourth on the far turn, took advantage, chasing him down and getting past him on the line to tally by a nose in 1:54 3/5. Predator And Prey (J.D. Finn) checked in third.
Another Swan For All gelding, Brookview Bolt is trained by Ron Burke for the ownership group of Burke Racing Stable LLC., Knox Services Inc., J&T Silva- Purnel & Libby, and Weaver Bruscemi LLC. The Brookview Farms-bred made his 11th appearance in the winner's circle, has now pocketed $324,507, and returned $3.40 to win as the 3-5 choice.
