Harness: USTA invites broadcast and promotions funding requests

The U.S Trotting Association invites member racetracks, horsemen’s associations and industry organizations to apply for broadcast and promotions funding that will be made available in the Association’s 2025 budget.

Funds are intended for the use of television, radio, online production and marketing promotions of harness racing events or special interest stories and broadcasts.

All requests must be submitted to the USTA no later than Friday, Jan. 31, 2025. The USTA Broadcast and Promotions Committee will review all submissions and make recommendations to the full USTA Board of Directors.

Applicants are asked to direct their requests to Dan Leary (dan.leary@ustrotting.com), USTA director of marketing and communications. Requests must be submitted using the USTA Broadcast Funding Request Form. For a pdf copy of the form, click here. For a Word version of the form, email Dan Leary.

The form will request the following information.

• Content/intent of the broadcast or promotion to be funded.
• Platform(s)/channel(s) on which the show will air or where promotion will be publicized.
• Date(s) and times(s) when the show(s) will air, or promotion will take place.
• Anticipated reach of the show or promotion.
• Description of use of funds.
• Listing of other funding partners, if any, and percentage of total costs assumed by each.
• Amount of funding being requested from the USTA.
• Contact information.

Organizations that received funding in 2024 must submit a summary of the analytics for their funded broadcasts last year to be eligible to receive funding in 2025.
