Harness: Trotters look to go the distance in Sunday's Prix de Paris
A field of 15 horses will line up in Sunday's Prix de Paris at Vincennes Racecourse. The Prix de Paris is a marathon race, conducted over 4,150 meters (just over 2 1/2 miles).
The group is led by Delia du Pommereux (Eric Raffin/Sylvain Roger), who upset Prix d'Amerique champion Face Time Bourbon in the Prix de France on February 14. Also entered is Davidson du Pont, trained and driven by Jean-Michel Bazire, who was second to Face Time Bourbon in the Prix d'Amerique. Davidson du Pont broke stride in the Prix de France and will be looking to make amends this time out.
Other possible contenders include last year's Prix de Bretagne champion Diable de Vauvert (Gabriele Gelormini/Bertrand Le Beller) and 2020 Prix Ténor de Baune winner Féerie Wood (Alexandre Abrivard/Laurent-Claude Abrivard). Tony Gio (Yoann Lebourgeois/Sébastien Guarato), who finished second to Bélina Josselyn in the last two editions of the Prix de Paris, is also among the entrants.
