Harness: Summer Mixed Sale catalog now available

The catalog and past performances booklet for the Tattersalls Summer Mixed Sale are now available and may be downloaded from the Tattersalls website, tattersallsredmile.com, or by using the Equineline Sales Catalog app.

The sale will be the final attraction of Meadowlands Pace weekend, as it will get underway in the track’s race paddock at 12 noon on Sunday, July 14.

It is exclusively a “horses of racing age” sale with 80-plus head cataloged, not including expected supplemental entries. Nearly all sale horses are currently racing and 18 horses in the book—nearly a quarter of the catalog—finished first or second in their last start.

“The sale has a significant amount of quality, thanks to owners like Ron Burke and partners who are selling a dozen in their annual reduction, primarily to make room for yearlings,” said manager David Reid.

“That creates a bonus for buyers, as there are some top week-in and week-out raceway horses in the sale that can be money makers in any jurisdiction.”

Some that Reid pointed out include the 3-year-olds JK American Beauty and Priceless Beach. The former was a last-out winner of a NYSS 3YO Filly Pace at Buffalo and the latter has won three in a row at Woodbine plus an OSS Grassroots at Flamboro.

Top-class older horses spotlighted include double millionaire Mach It So, who has been racing on the Open at Yonkers; Fashionwoodchopper, who knocked heads with Atlanta and Six Pack last fall; and Call For Justice and Elysium Lindy, both winners of their last two starts.
