Left and was parked the mile without cover prompting the pace, held okay considering

Left from post 7, was used hard to clear past a :26 3/5 first quarter, set the pace and just missed in a good try

Was first over against a sharp front runner, pressed a :28 1/5 third quarter and held well to be clearly second best

Rushed up approaching the half, battled with the pacesetter through a :28 1/5 third quarter, was shaken off in the stretch but held nicely

FOR KEVIN'S SAKE -

Had post 1, was shuffled to 7th, moved out behind poor cover, brushed three wide around the final turn and finished strongly to just miss, pacing his last quarter in :28 2/5
