WHATA SWAN –

Was impeded by breakers and dropped back to tenth, gained twelve lengths through the middle-half and finished quickly for the show in the stretch

Sharp mare followed cover and paced her last half in :53 to win going away

BORN TO THRIVE –

Trotter was in the 2nd tier and got away 10th, followed weak cover and finished well

IDEAL FEELING –

Shot to the lead in :25 1/5, set a strong pace until yielding at the three quarters, weakened late but his :27 35 last quarter was respectable considering the fractions

BLAKEMORE –

Started from the 2nd tier, was 5th at the quarter but got shuffled back to 9th, found room in the stretch and finished with solid late pace

Ranged first over from before the half, paced a :26 4/5 third quarter, prompted the pace and held gamely to miss by a nose to the front running second choice

RUFFLE UP –

Was in the second tier and parked the mile on a long uncovered grind, held gamely to be second best
