Harness: Sharp Horses and Track Trends from Oct. 21 - Oct. 23

Bob Pandolfo|Oct 27, 2017

NORTHFIELD

10/23: 9w, + speed

10/22: 9w, + speed

10/21: 4w, races 1-6, no bias, 7-15 + closers, track seemed to get more tiring as the night went on, particularly after race 6…not sure if it was a coincidence but overall the track seem much more tiring and conducive to closers than it normally is after the 6th race

TAMMYSMIST –

Left and was used hard to the lead in :26 3/5, yielded, chased a fast pace, was shuffled, held okay

HOOSIER

10/21: 7w, no bias, speed held up better than it usually does here but that may have been because it was Breeders Crown elimination night and most of the wire to wire winners got their own way on the lead

10/20: 3w, no bias

THE MEADOWS

10/23: 3w, no bias

10/21: 3w, no bias

PHILADELPHIA

10/22: 5w, + speed

10/20: 6w, + speed

TAILGUNNER HANOVER –

Had post 6, gunned to the lead in :26, set a fast clip and weakened in the stretch; dangerous speed

POCONO DOWNS

10/23: 7w, + speed

10/22: 5w, no bias

10/21: 4w, no bias

MAJOR BUBBLES N –

Left and got parked the mile without cover, prompted the pace against the sharp front running winner and held okay considering

LIVE ON –

Left from post 6, was used hard to the lead in :26 3/5, set a pressured pace, finished third but only lost by two heads in a good effort

MAXDADDY BLUE CHIP*** –

Paced a :27 first quarter, went first over pushing a :26 4/5 third quarter against the sharp 4/5 winner and just missed while pacing his last quarter in :26 4/5

SEMI AUTOMATIC –

Quarter-moved into a wicked pace, took the lead approaching the :53 3/5 half and excusably tired in the stretch

ST LADS FLIRT –

Left from post 8 and tucked 4th, grinded first over pacing a :28 third quarter, was shaken off but only lost by a length

FREEHOLD

10/21: 5w, + speed

10/20: 4w, no bias

MONTICELLO

10/23: 3w, no bias

ROSE RUN PAIGE –

Had post 8, followed poor cover, rallied three wide around the final turn and finished with sharp pace to get the show from a tough spot

YONKERS

10/23: 5w, no bias

10/21: 5w, no bias

10/20: 3w, no bias

DR J HANOVER –

Was sharper second off the bench, left from post 6, was parked to the lead in :26 3/5, rated the half nicely for Stratton, paced a :27 third quarter under pressure, put that rival away and scooted clear to a sharp win

POLAK A –

Was shuffled behind weak cover, rallied wide on the final turn and finished gamely
