Trotter had post 9, was far behind as the field gathered behind the starting gate and rushed up quickly to catch the gate at the start, left, was floated four wide into the first turn and then three wide, dawdled in third pace for a while then moved to challenge approaching the half, took the lead at the 5/8’s and weakened late in a good effort
LARRY KARR –
Left from post 10 and was used hard to the lead in :27 over the sloppy track, set the pace under second-half pressure and gave way grudgingly late with a :27 2/5 last quarter
FOLLOWTHEWIND N*** –
Left alertly and yielded, was shuffled due to lead changes and pulled first over while fourth at the half, rushed up first over, took the lead on the outside late on the final turn and was caught on the wire while a game second
SPORTSMANSHIP –
Followed weak cover third over and finished with solid pace for the show

Had post 7, moved past the quarter, brushed quickly down the back, went three wide to clear a parked-out horse, took the lead past the half, weakened late but held the show

10 year old followed cover and drew off handily to win his first start in the Burke barn
