Harness: Sharp Horses and Track Trends for May 8 to 11

BALMORAL

5/11: 4w, no bias, sloppy track

5/10: 3w, no bias

LIQUER -

Had post 7, moved at the quarter on a long first over bid and took the lead at the half while pacing a :27 1/5 second quarter, drew off to win by 4 lengths

JB OUI OUI -

Trotter had post 8, followed weak cover down the back and finished sharply to get up

FOX VALLEY AMANDA -

Broke before the start and was 20 lengths behind, gained a ton of ground while following cover and finished fastest of all to hit the board

BRIEF'S BOY -

Was 9th at the quarter, followed cover 4th over and finished well in :26 flat

JPS MINI ME -

7th early and 11 lengths behind, made a sustained first over grind pacing a :54 2/5 middle-half to reach the leader and held gamely for the place

MAYWOOD

5/9: 8w, ++ speed

5/8: 6w, + speed

LOOKER HOTSPUR -

Was hurt by poor cover, brushed three wide around the final turn and rallied steadily

FOX VALLEY TOUCHE -

Had post 7, followed cover 4th over and finished sharply against the bias to get the show

CANTHOLDMEBACKMARK*** -

Had post 8 and was 9th at the half, was 4th over behind a weak flow, rallied wide on the final turn and finished strongly to just miss behind the even money bias-aided winner

5/10: 5w, no bias

HARRINGTON

5/11: 10w, ++ speed

WEST STAR DIRECTOR -

Had post 7, terrible cover and no shot against the speed bias, finished solidly for third

NORTHFIELD

FLASHY -

9th at the half, followed cover 5th over and finished strongly to just miss while pacing her last quarter in :27 flat

ALWAYS WEARABLE*** -

3yo filly left from post 9 with the 7 and 8 both leaving inside of her, worked her way to the lead before the half, was under stretch pressure and lost the lead to the 4-5 favorite but battled back for a game win while pacing a :27 4/5 final quarter

MASTERS CHAMPION -

Had post 9, gained steadily and finished willingly in the stretch

OUR LUCKY CHIP -

Followed cover, lost cover at the half, drew off sharply with a :25 4/5 last quarter

PHILADELPHIA

5/11: 5w, + speed

5/8: 8w, ++ speed

SANTANNA ONE -

Followed dull cover while third over, finished well for the show

POCONO

5/11: 4w, no bias, the track was not as speed favoring as last week

5/10: 5w, + speed

SHARK INGESTED -

Left from post 9, had a tough uncovered parked-out trip and wore down the 6-5 favorite gamely late

GIANT SCULPTURE -

Left from post 6 and was parked the mile without cover pushing a fast pace, held well

SCHOOLKIDS -

Left and was used hard to clear past a :26 1/5 opener, rated the half, then paced a :26 4/5 third quarter, weakened by less than a length

THE MEADOWS

5/9: 8w, + speed

WINDSONG JACK -

Left and was parked to the lead in :26 4/5, paced another :26 4/5 quarter while hounded through the third panel and gave way grudgingly late

FREEHOLD

5/10: 6w, + speed

5/9: 7w, + speed

5/8: 6w, + speed

MEADOWLANDS

5/10: 3w, no bias, early rains made the track wet-fast and quick

5/9: 3w, no bias, showers made the track wet-fast and quick

TRIXTON*** -

Strong-looking trotter left from post 10 and was parked past a :27 opener, took control, lengthened his advantage at every call and drew off powerfully on his own

GETTINGREADYTOROLL*** -

Left and was parked to the lead in :27, set the tempo and drew off full of pace on her own

TOP BRAND -

Got moving off the first turn, followed a listless 25-1 shot while 4th over and finished sharply, home in :26 3/5

IDEAL A LITTLE -

Followed poor cover, rallied wide at the three quarters and finished gamely for the show from a tough spot

SEBASTIAN K S -

8-year-old made a sparkling U.S. debut, charged up first over, collared 2-5 Modern Family into the stretch and drew clear in hand

PARDON -

Left well and was parked to the lead in :27, yielded and was shuffled, angled for clearance in the lane and finished willingly

HOT LIST -

Left and tucked off the first turn, picked up cover down the back, lost cover at the half, went up first over and held okay

MATTADOR D -

Saved ground, moved into a blind-switch late-final turn, cleared late with pace

FRIDAY AT FIVE -

Left sluggishly from post 10 and settled in behind the outside flow, was third over at the half, rallied three wide and finished well

MONTICELLO

TIOGA DOWNS

5/11: 4w, no bias

5/10: 4w, no bias

MC TAYLOR*** -

Paced a :26 2/5 third quarter first over against the 3/5 winner and held gamely

DONTU GET LONELY*** -

Had post 6, left and tucked 4th, rushed up first over, pushed a :27 4/5 third quarter and held gamely for the show

YONKERS

5/10: 5w, + speed, drying out track

5/9: 4w, no bias, off track

5/8: 2w, no bias

BO TOX HANOVER -

Had post 8, left and tucked, went first over into a :27 4/5 third quarter, held well

LILSHARKSHOOTER -

Left sluggishly from post 7 and was yanked back to last, followed cover third over down the back and finished with willing late pace

MONKEY ON MY WHEEL -

Left from post 8 and tucked, went first over, put away the leader but was out-kicked late in a solid placing

PANCETTA -

Classy sort shipped back in from Cal Expo, where he was racing in the Open, saved ground from post 6, rushed up along the inside on the final turn while appearing full of pace and just missed with a solid rally along the inside

CONNERY BLUE CHIP-

Left well and was three wide around the first turn, took back and was considering taking a tuck third, but driver Eric Carlson declined the tuck and quarter moved to the lead, kept pressure at bay and had plenty left to hold sway

MR HASANI -

Left from post 6 and tucked 4th approaching the quarter, went first over against a sharp favorite and held well
