Odds-on favorite had a tough trip, pulled behind terrible cover, paced a :54 4/5 middle-half while moving wide before the three quarters, held okay for the show

Left from post 9 and was used hard to clear past a :54 4/5 half, excusably tired

Left, tucked, followed cover, passed horses quickly on the final turn and drew off

Had the rail, left strongly in :26, yielded, went first over into a :27 3/5 third quarter, took the lead but was out-kicked on the wire in a game placing

Went first over into a :55 1/5 last half and held well for the show

Well-bred trotter broke off the first turn, was taken to the outside and gathered together by the soft hands of Ake Svanstedt, followed cover, charged three wide on the final turn and finished gamely under strong handling to get up with a :27 4/5 final quarter
HEAVEN'S DOOR -
3yo trotting filly shot out of the gate in :26 3/5, set a quick but well-rated pace under expert guidance by Svanstedt and won clear on her own
ODDS ON EQUULEUS -
Had post 7 and was backed up by weak cover while third over, rallied wide at the three quarters and finished strongly against the bias to get the place

Was out most of the mile following cover, rallied wide and finished sharply

Left from post 7 and was parked to the quarter for the lead, set the pace under pressure and didn't tire that badly
FORT VALLEY AS*** -
Trotter left from post 7 and was parked out in a vicious speed duel as Doully refused to yield, battled for the lead, finally took control late on the final turn and drew clear gamely
TARPON HANOVER -
Left sluggishly, made his way up to the lead late on turn two, set the pace and gave way grudgingly late
MACHS BEACH BOY -
Third over from post 6, finished fast for the place
BIG JER -
Had post 8, moved out on the final turn, stacked wide for the drive and finished well
BULLET BOB -
Left and was three deep around the first turn, raced parked the mile without cover in a speed duel, was shaken off at the three quarters but only lost by 2 lengths
GAMBLER'S TALE -
Had post 7, moved out down the back, had to brush three wide as his cover tired, was wide most of the final turn and narrowed in gamely with a :28 1/5 final quarter to get up on the wire at 97-1 for hot driver Eric Carlson

STATE TREASURER -
Broke at the start from post 1, recovered and was 8th, followed cover 4th over, followed cover three wide around the final turn, angled wider for the drive and finished powerfully to get up late and defend his Molson Pace title from last year
