Left from post 10 and was parked to the quarter, set the pace under second half pressure and held well for the show

Had post 9, followed weak cover, roared wide on the final turn to make up 8 lengths by the head of the stretch and drew clear with a snappy :25 3/5 final quarter

CHEWY BACA -

Followed cover while 6th over and finished fast for the show, home in :26 1/5

HEATH -

Was first over a long way, paced a :54 2/5 middle-half and held okay

ST DAVID HANOVER -

Left and tucked, rushed up to challenge the stubborn pacesetter in a stern first over bid, paced a :53 middle-half, couldn't clear and was shaken off but only lost by 3 lengths

MAYWOOD

5/23: 9w, ++ speed

5/22: 5w, + speed

LITTLE WARRIORETTE -

Followed cover from post 8 and finished with good pace from a tough spot

MORWYN HANOVER -

Had post 6, saved ground, finished fast in the stretch

IT WAS AN HONOR -

3-5 shot left and yielded, was shuffled back when the pacesetter tired

7th early, followed weak cover and finished sharply for the place

FOOLISH GRIN -

Hustled up on a long first over bid against a 4-5 shot that got away with a soft opening half, tough trip

Classy veteran followed tiring cover, angled wide for the drive and finished well in his first start off the layoff

LYONSSOMEWHERE -

Nice looker made two moves to the lead in his three-year-old debut, jogged off to a handy win under wraps late and is now undefeated in three career starts

SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP -

Followed cover, was blind-switched into the stretch and cleared late with pace

SWEET LOU -

Left from post 10 and made his way to the lead past the quarter, rated beautifully on the lead for Pierce and was never in doubt in a professional, sharp-looking performance

DRAGON LORE -

Peaking 4yo left and stalled momentarily looking for a tuck, brushed to the lead at the half, took on heavy pressure from classy Meirs Hanover, briefly relinquished the lead in the stretch but battled back gamely for the win

MEIRS HANOVER -

Left and followed his only real rival, Dragon Lore, lost cover past the half, put the heat on and held gamely to be second best after a tough trip

TELL US MORE -

9th at the half behind cover, rallied wide and finished willingly in a tough C-2 field

K-LEES SHAKENBAKE -

Followed cover 5th over, charged three wide on the final turn, angled to the far outside in mid-stretch and finished boldly for the place
