Left and got into a speed duel in the 5/8’s of a mile race, tough trip, held the show

Quarter-moved and got hung out forcing a quick pace, pushed a :27 2/5 third quarter, took the lead, weakened in the stretch but held okay

Left from post 8 and was used hard to the lead in :26 4/5, set a fast pace under pressure and held gamely for the place
MISS HILL*** –
Had post 7, was on the move at the quarter, got stuck behind a weak rival and had to go three wide at the half then settle in second over on the final turn, finished gamely
FREEHOLD
5/5: 3w, no bias, I’m not sure if this was a closer’s bias, but the track did appear to play fairer to closers than it normally does, track did appear somewhat tiring

ZEPHYR KRONOS –
Trotting colt came back to the races ready, sat 7th behind a slow pace, followed cover third over, had a lot to do turning for home but finished boldly to nail the win late
BUTCHIE BEACH –
Well bred 3yo filly made her debut for trainer Erv Miller, saved ground, followed the odds-on favorite’s cover and finished boldly in the stretch to get up for the win
IWILLMAKEYOUSAYWOW –
Left well to a quick first quarter and got a pocket trip chasing a fast pace, pulled clear nicely with a :27 1/5 final quarter
MONTICELLO

Down under invader had post 7 for U.S. debut, had poor cover, made up ground gamely three wide on the final turn and finished strongly to pull clear late at 4/5
