Had post 6, grinded first over from a tough spot chasing the 1/9 winner, made up 12 lengths through the middle-half and held well for the show

Left from post 9 in his first start of the year and was parked forcing a quick pace, held well until the three quarters in what should be a good tightener off the layoff

COTTON EYED JOE -

Left and was used hard to clear the lead past a :26 2/5 first quarter, was under pressure then yielded at the three quarters, held okay to lose by only 2 lengths

EIGHTEEN -

Blasted to the lead in :25 4/5, rated the half, paced a :26 3/5 third quarter opening up a two length lead and had something left to win clear in 1:49 1/5

BLATANTLY BEST -

Left from post 8 and was used hard to a :26 first quarter, tucked in the pocket, looked for room in the stretch but was caught in tight quarters

Pulled first over into the second turn, grinded into contention against a sharp front runner, paced a :27 third quarter, finished gamely for the place

Left from post 5, was three wide part of the first turn, was used hard to clear past a :25 2/5 opener, yielded, chased the fast pace and excusably weakened in the final sixteenth

Had post 8, followed weak cover, brushed three wide to clear that cover approaching the three quarters, held okay off a trip that was more difficult than it will look on paper
