SHOEMAKER HANOVER –
Trotter left from post 7 and tucked 4th, hustled up to challenge at the half, pressed a :27 4/5 third quarter against the 2-5 winner and held well for the show
JURGEN HANOVER –
Trotter left and tucked, went first over pushing a :28 2/5 third quarter, took the lead in the stretch, weakened late but held the show in a tight finish
TIP IT ON BACK –
Had post 7, got moving at the quarter, had cover briefly then lost cover and was parked on a long uncovered bid, finished gamely to lose by a nose
MISTER VIRGIN –
Left sluggishly from post 9, hustled up to challenge the classy 3-5 favorite at the half while parked a long way, pressed the pace hard through a :27 4/5 third quarter and held well for the show
JET BLUE MIRACLE –
Left from post 6, was used hard to the lead past a :26 3/5, set a quick pace and was just nailed by a 9/5 shot late while finishing pretty well in :29
TIP IT ON BACK –
Had post 7, left weakly and was parked on a long uncovered grind, never reached the leader until late in the game finishing gamely to miss by a nose
STEADY WARRIOR –
Has come to hand since shipping in from Dover, picked up Gingras here and put up a new lifetime mark, shot to the lead in :26 1/5, backed down the half under expert handling, kept the 4/5 favorite at bay through a :27 2/5 third quarter and won clear
