Left and got into a speed duel with the favorite, wore that one down to take the lead at the three quarters after forcing a bruising pace, excusably weakened in a solid effort

SOLAR SURPRISE -

Had post 7, was third over behind poor cover, rallied three wide on the final turn and finished strongly for the place, last quarter in :28 1/5

ALWAYS A DIAMOND*** -

Left from post 8 and was used hard to get the lead on the second turn, set a fast pace and held gamely for the place

3/17: 10w, ++ speed

3/16: 6w, no bias

FASHION SHOWDOWN*** -

Had post 7, was 8th at the half, followed cover third over down the backstretch, swung wide for the drive and finished strongly for the place, last quarter in :27 2/5

YANKLET HANOVER -

Peaking 4yo mare was 5th at the half, went first over, wore down the favorite and held off the closers for a sharp win while pacing her last half in :55 1/5

SEAWIND GINGER -

Followed the sharp winner's move making up good ground while pacing a :27 2/5 third quarter and finished evenly in :27 4/5, an improved effort

JAKE OF HEARTS -

Was 8th at the three quarters and finished well against the bias to gain the show

3/16: 6w, + speed

SINK THE MCBISMARK -

Had post 9, moved at the quarter, made up ground without cover, picked up cover at the half, lost cover at the three quarters, held gamely for the show

WOODRUFF -

Left well from post 7 and was parked to the quarter for the lead, yielded, regained the lead at the half, set the pace and weakened but held well for the show

DUE WEST HANOVER -

Left from post 8 and was parked to the lead at the half, yielded, held well for the show

3/17: 4w, no bias

3/16: 4w, no bias, off track

PARTY DREAM*** -

Making her first start of the year, broke before the start spotting the field 5 lengths, got back on stride, looked rough-gaited on turn one, found her stride, settled down while last, 12 lengths behind the leader, moved out at the half, reached the flow down the backstretch, was blindswitched on the final turn, cleared in midstretch and rallied to win

YONKERS

3/17: 7w, + speed, matinee card

3/16: 2w, no bias

K SLATER -

Had the rail, left well and yielded, moved at the quarter to regain the lead on turn two, set a fast pace under pressure and gave way grudgingly late to miss by two heads

PAPPY'S PAL -

Shot out of the gate from post 8 to take the lead before the quick :27 first quarter, yielded, rallied along the inside to just miss

COMPANY MAN -

Went first over from a tough spot, paced a sharp third quarter and held well for the show
