TERROR OF THE NITE*** –

Paced a :26 4/5 second quarter on a first over brush, forced a :27 2/5 third quarter and held gamely to the wire to finish third in a close finish

KISSIN IN THE SAND –

Left from post 9 and was hung out uncovered, battled tooth and nail with pacesetter Youaremycandygirl from the half and finished gamely late to win by a neck

Left from post 8 and tucked fourth, pacing a :27 first quarter, went first over and paced a :25 4/5 third quarter to take the lead, wilted late but only lost by a length

GREENSHOE –

Two year old trotter by Father Patrick broke badly behind the gate jumping in the air, lost a lot of ground, got back on stride and trotted smoothly the rest of the race, including on the turns, brushed boldly uncovered to reach the leader down the backstretch, took the lead on the final turn and drew clear to win handily in a promising debut

ZERO TOLERANCE*** –

Two year old filly left from post 8 and tucked 5th, power-brushed to the lead at the half, paced a :55 1/5 middle half then tacked on a :27 1/5 last quarter winning handily in an auspicious debut

BETTOR’S EDGE –

Had post 6 and was 7th at the quarter, roared up to challenge down the backstretch, pressed the 4/5 winner hard through a :26 1/5 third quarter and battled bravely to the wire to miss by a nose in another big effort

JK PARLAY –

Left from post 6 and was parked to the lead in :26 3/5, yielded and was badly shuffled back to sixth out of contention

JOE JOE JOE –

Was 7th at the half, moved out midway through the second turn, made a bold three wide power-brush to go from 7th to the lead pacing a :26 2/5 third quarter but never cleared to the pylons, battled gamely with the inside speed until weakening in the final sixteenth

OCEANIA –

Was 5th at the half, made a strong first over brush pacing a :27 third quarter, battled with the favorite gamely to the wire and just missed

YONKERS

7/2: 9w, + speed, nine out of 10 races were won by the pacesetter, but the bias may not be as severe as it looked, eight of the wire to wire winners were favorites, one was a 6/5 second choice, and seven of them were odds on

DURANT –

Had post 7, grinded uncovered from a tough spot, paced a strong last half and held gamely for the show

Trotter was 9th at the half, was stymied by poor cover, went four wide on the final turn and finished strongly in :27 2/5 from a tough spot

MEETYOUATMIDNIGHT –

Left from post 8 and was parked the mile without cover, never got to the tough pacesetter while chasing a quick pace but held okay considering the tough trip

R CAAN –

Left a bit from post 8 and tucked 6th, followed weak cover, swung wide late on the final turn and finished sharply for the place from a tough spot

JOE SIX PACK*** –

Left from post 7 and tucked third, went first over and paced a :26 45 third quarter, weakened late but held gamely for the show
