Had post 7, followed weak cover, brushed strongly three wide off cover at the three quarters, gained good ground on the turn while two wide and held gamely for the show

EPIC UNION –
Was looped leaving from post 7 and drove on to the lead at the half, set the pace over a track that appeared tiring and gave way grudgingly late in a game effort
SKULL OF ROSES –
Went first over, paced a :26 1/5 third quarter to take control and drew off impressively

Trotter broke leaving, recovered but not after losing 8 lengths, was 8th at the half, made up good ground during the third quarter and finished gamely for the show
