MOHAWK

7/8: 0w, + closers

7/6: 5w, no bias

7/5: 4w, no bias

VELOCITY DRIVEN –

Was 7th and fourth over behind a dull flow, finished quickly in the stretch, last quarter in :25 4/5

KENDALL SEELSTER –

Was 12 lengths back at the quarter while 6th, followed cover, went three wide on the final turn when her cover weakened and finished sharply for the place, last quarter in :25 4/5

IDEAL JET –

Blasted to the lead in :26, set a torrid pace and only lost by three lengths

QUICK TOUR –

Two year old was 7th behind poor cover, rallied three wide at the three quarters and finished solidly for the place

MY LAND –

Was 10th at the three quarters, followed cover three wide and finished sharply

MACHNOPE –

Was 8th at the half, followed weak cover, went three wide on the final turn and finished gamely for the place with a :26 4/5 last quarter

DRESS TO THE NINES –

Had post 5 but was 10th at the three quarters backed up behind horrible cover, followed cover three wide, stacked wide for the drive and finished fastest of all for the show

ALICORN –

Was 8th and on the move at the quarter, flushed out poor cover and finished well from a tough spot, last quarter in :26 1/5

WHAT CHAPTER –

Trotter had post 9, followed cover, rallied wide late on the final turn and finished quickly for the place, making up fourteen lengths in the last three quarters

RUNNING ACES

7/7: 3w, no bias

7/6: 3w, no bias

HAWTHORNE

7/7: 1w, no bias

7/6: 3w, no bias

7/5: 1w, + closers

FRANKSNATIVEWESTRN –

Was 6th at the quarter, made a bold power-brush to take the lead at the half and drew off

PARK OFFICIAL –

Left from post 7 and tucked 5th, hustled up to challenge approaching the half, pushed the pace from there and held well for the show down the long stretch

MAJOR ATTRIBUTE –

Was 10th and far back early behind a modest pace, followed cover at the three quarters, made up good ground through the final quarter

ROBERTS NEW LIFE –

Was far back early behind a slow pace, followed cover and narrowed in gamely to get up

LUCKY JEWEL –

Was 8th at the three quarters, followed weak cover, swung wide for the drive and finished full of pace to win going away

NORTHFIELD

7/8: 9w, + speed

7/6: 9w, + speed, three horses did rally to win off cover trips, but in two of the races, the pace was extremely fast

MARVALOUS ARTIST –

Left from post 8 and tucked 4th, went first over, was shaken off in the stretch but held okay to finish 4th, beaten only two lengths

HANGON MAN –

Was 6th at the quarter, went first over from a tough spot making up a lot of ground through the middle-half, paced a :28 third quarter, tough trip, finished fourth

HOOSIER

7/6: 2w, + closers

7/5: 3w, no bias

I DANCE U PRANCE –

Left alertly, parked a horse to a :26 4/5 opener, yielded, was shuffled back behind a tiring horse and rallied late to finish fourth

CAROL’S Z TAM –

Was 9th at the half, followed weak cover, swung wide for the drive and finished quickly for the show with a :26 4/5 last quarter

TOWNLINE FLYINLADY –

Had post 7, was third over, finished quickly for the place, last quarter in :26 4/5

BROOKLETS DESIRE –

Was 9th at the quarter, followed poor cover and finished well for the show

UNCMPRMISING Z TAM*** –

Was 9th and 17 lengths behind at the quarter, followed cover, finished with solid pace for the show pacing his last half in :52 4/5 and his last three quarters in 1:19.4. Uncmpromising Z Tam is a fine racehorse, but this seemed hard to believe. However, Hoosier uses Trakus, and I watched the replay, and it did look to me that he was about 17 lengths behind at the quarter in this potential key race won by Freaky Feet Pete

ROCK STEADY RON –

Followed cover and finished sharply for the place behind speedy Freaky Feet Pete

PURE ROCK –

Paced a :26 1/5 first quarter keeping up to a hot pace then brushed to the lead at the half in :53 2/5, took the lead into the long stretch, weakened late, losing by two lengths

PHILADELPHIA

7/7: 5w, + speed

ALII NUI –

Left from post 6 and was used hard to the lead in :26 1/5, set the pace under pressure from the 3/5 winner and gave way grudgingly late in a game placing

POCONO

7/8: 4w, no bias

7/7: 6w, + speed

7/6: 5w, no bias, sloppy track

6/29: 4w, no bias, off track, leavers did well, five pocket winners, maybe it can be called a mild speed bias because it did appear difficult to rally from off the pace

QUATRAIN BLUE CHIP –

Trotter broke before the start, recovered, followed poor cover while 6th at the half and finished gamely for the show

TOM’S AROCKIN*** –

Had post 8, left strongly to the lead in :26 1/5, yielded, regained before the half, carved out a fast pace in the slop and held well for the show

MEADOWLANDS

7/6: 4w, no bias, warm and humid night, track was very fast

7/5: 6w, + speed, six pocket winners, a first over winner, and the other winner brushed to the lead at the half

SIX PACK –

Trotter left from post 9 and was used hard parked to a :54 1/5 half for the lead, took a clear lead into the stretch and gave way to the 2/5 favorite late while finishing in :27 1/5

ATLANTA –

Trotter left slowly, was 7th at the quarter, picked up cover, followed sluggish cover second over on the final turn, moved three wide late on the turn and finished bravely despite drifting out late to get up by a neck to set a world record for trotting mares

SISTER’S PROMISE –

Trotter left well and yielded, was shuffled to 6th, angled out, cleared past midstretch and finished gamely

LATHER UP –

Left well and was forced to tuck, thought about a quarter move but settled back in, chased a wicked pace while appearing full of himself, pulled to challenge at the three quarters and drew clear impressively to tie the world record of 1:46 for the fastest mile ever

ALWAYS A PRINCE –

Gunned to the lead forcing tucks, set a blistering pace, took on pressure at the three quarters and excusably weakened late losing by two lengths while pacing in 1:46 2/5

JOEY BATS –

Trotter left from post 7 and was outside a long way without cover, pushed a :27 1/5 third quarter, was no match for Darling Mearas S but held the show in a game effort

DARLING MEARAS S*** –

6 year old trotting mare, making her 2nd U.S. start and first at the Big M, floated out at the start, brushed to take the lead at the half in :54 4/5, shook off a challenge through a :27 1/5 third quarter and drew clear impressively late while under confident handling

GOLDEN TRICKS –

Improving trotting filly floated out of the gate while looped by several leavers, then made a sustained move to take the lead at the half, was a game second

MILLIES POSSESION –

Left slowly from post 9, followed the flow and was lost cover at the half, remained parked the mile and edged by late to remain undefeated

ASIAGO –

Left from post 8 and brushed to the lead at the three-eighths, yielded at the half, was blocked in tight quarters, swung out for late clearance and held the show

YONKERS

7/8: 6w, + speed

7/6: 6w, + speed, not a severe bias off track

7/5: 7w, + speed, not impossible to close but 9 of the 12 winners sat first or second

CAVIART LUCA –

Left and was three wide forcing a :26 1/5 first quarter, remained parked in a wicked speed duel, took the lead into the stretch and excusably weakened, brutal trip

SULKY QUEEN*** -

Filly made her first start for the Jennifer Bongiorno barn and wired her field handily

RONNIES ROCKET –

Had post 7, followed cover second over, went three wide late on the final turn when his cover stalled and finished gamely for the show, paced his last half in :54 1/5
