TALL DARK STRANGER –
Aptly named good-looker left from post 7 and tucked 4th, brushed to the lead before the half, paced a :25 4/5 last quarter to win easier than it looks on paper in a promising debut
CAPTAIN BARBOSSA –
Left from post 6 and was parked to the lead in :28 1/5, yielded to the 2/5 favorite, came after that one in the stretch and finished gamely in an improved effort
LET’S ROLL –
Left from post 9 and worked his way to the lead approaching the half, set a solid pace and was a game second behind the pocket winner
DON’T LET’EM –
Trotter floated out from post 10, took his time then followed the flow, lost cover past the half, continued up first over and drew off sharply under confident handling in the stretch
