Left sharply from post 7 to the lead in :26 3/5, set a solid pace and was 2^nd best to the 3/5 pocket sitting favorite in a good placing

Was 8^th at the half and stuck behind poor cover, rallied three wide at the three quarters and finished gamely for the show from a tough spot

Hustled up to challenge approaching the half, pushed a :28 1/5 third quarter, wore down the favorite to take the lead in the stretch, was out-kicked late in a game placing

MEADOWLANDS

7/27: 7w, + speed, not a severe bias but as expected the track is more speed favoring on warm summer nights than it was in the winter and cooler spring nights

7/26: 8w, + speed, speed held well but nine odds-on favorites won, hard to gauge, perhaps a mild bias

TALL DARK STRANGER –

Aptly named good-looker left from post 7 and tucked 4^th, brushed to the lead before the half, paced a :25 4/5 last quarter to win easier than it looks on paper in a promising debut

CAPTAIN BARBOSSA –

Left from post 6 and was parked to the lead in :28 1/5, yielded to the 2/5 favorite, came after that one in the stretch and finished gamely in an improved effort

LET’S ROLL –

Left from post 9 and worked his way to the lead approaching the half, set a solid pace and was a game second behind the pocket winner

DON’T LET’EM –

Trotter floated out from post 10, took his time then followed the flow, lost cover past the half, continued up first over and drew off sharply under confident handling in the stretch

Left sharply from post 7 to the lead on the first turn, yielded, was shuffled to 4^th along the inside, angled out in the stretch and got blocked behind horses

ARTIE’S IDEAL –

Left well from post 6 and was used hard to the lead in :27, yielded, was trapped behind horses in the stretch and had to angle out to find a clear lane late, finished gamely

Left and was used hard to a blazing :26 1/5 first quarter, couldn’t clear and remained parked two turns taking the lead nearing the half, continued on setting a hot pace under pressure, was tiring late but held the show gamely while losing by only two necks

Had post 8, made up good ground along the inside approaching the three quarters, was in close quarters in the lane then cleared in the final sixteenth and had willing pace
