Quarter-moved from post 6 and took the lead before the half, drew clear to a big lead with a strong third quarter and jogged
SPRINGBRIDGE SASSY –
2yo filly was 10th at the half behind a modest pace, followed excess cover, stacked wide turning for home and finished boldly to get up for the win with a :25 2/5 last quarter
THE FIRST STEP –
Was 9th at the half, followed weak cover, moved three wide at the three quarters and finished well from a tough spot pacing his last quarter in :26

Left from post 8, was parked the mile without cover, never reached the leader but held well for the show

BAD LIGHTNING –
Left from post 8 and was used to the lead in :26 4/5, yielded, chased a quick pace and weakened late over the sloppy track
SEVENTIMESAVIRGIN –
Was 7th at the half, followed weak cover and finished fast for the show while missing narrowly by two noses
ENDEAVORS FANTASY –
Left and was used hard to the lead in :26, set a pressured pace until yielding to pressure passing the half mile pole, was shuffled back to 5th, slipped out with cover, lacked a rally but only lost by three lengths
A BETTORS RISK –
Was 8th at the three quarters, followed weak cover and finished quickly for the show
HOT ART –
Left well and yielded, was shuffled back to 6th, came on again gamely for the show

7/22: 8w, + speed, not a strong bias, a bit tough to call, off track, rain storms on and off, track changed from sloppy to good back to sloppy, speed did well but horses rallied to win from 7th, 7th, and 8th off fairly average paces, so it’s not like it was impossible to win from off the pace

ROLLIN ABOUT –
Was 5th behind weak cover at the half, brushed three wide at the three quarters to clear his cover and finished willingly for the show
HURRICANE BEACH*** -
Was making his first start in the Rene Allard barn after being purchased for $115,000 last Sunday, had post 8, blasted to the lead in :25 2/5 over the sloppy track, rattled off a scorching pace going the fastest half (:51 3/5) ever on a five eighths track, drew off to a ten length lead, was tiring late but coasted home as much the best
SKYFUL OF LIGHTERS –
Left from post 7 as one of three leavers, went three wide to clear the last past the quarter, set the pace from there, weakened late but held well for the show
MISTER INDIANA –
Left from post 9 and was parked the mile without cover, prompted the pace and held gamely for the show
PEMBROKE WILDCAT –
Was 7th at the half, followed weak cover, swung wide late on the final turn and finished gamely for the place
