SKYWAY BILLY –
Left from post 8 and was used hard parked to the lead in :26 2/5, yielded, chased a quick pace, weakened in the stretch but only lost by four lengths in an improved effort
MR COOLIE*** -
Left from post 7 and was used hard parked the mile forcing the pace on a very cold night, never cleared but held well considering, losing by only three lengths
DOVER DOWNS
1/8: 5w, no bias
HULK HANOVER –
Left from post 6 and was in a three way early battle for the lead, was used hard parked to the lead in :26 2/5, set a fast pace under heavy pressure and excusably tired
RATHER SWELL –
Was 9th at the quarter, followed poor cover and finished gamely for the show from a tough spot
THE MEADOWS
1/8: 5w, no bias
P H KENNY –
Left quickly from post 6 to the lead in :27 1/5, yielded, was shuffled to 4th after lead changes, pulled second over, rallied wide late on the final turn and was second, a length behind the 6/5 winner, couldn’t maintain his bid but only lost by a length
MONTICELLO
1/8: 4w, + speed, off track
ASK QUEENIE –
Had post 6, picked up poor cover, had to go three wide off her cover around the final turn and finished with solid pace for the show while pacing her last quarter in :29 1/5
YONKERS
1/8: 5w, no bias
1/7: 4w, no bias, cold afternoon, 10 degrees at post time
GRUDEN –
Trotter broke before the start and was very far back, made up a ton of ground to be closing quickly, only losing by two lengths in a strong recovery
THERAPUTIC –
Trotter went first over from a tough spot, chased the sharp odds-on winner and held well
CADILLAC PHIL –
Left from post 6 and tucked third, went first over, pushed a :28 4/5 third quarter on a cold day and held gamely for the show
TECHTOR HANOVER*** –
Followed cover 4th over, followed cover three wide on the final turn while looking full of pace, stacked four wide turning for home and finished strongly for the place
SECRECY –
Left from post 6, was three wide the first quarter and torched to a :26 4/5 first quarter, remained parked and found a tuck off the second turn, excusably tired
