Left from post 5 and was used hard to the lead in :27 2/5, set a quick clip against the bias and weakened late to lose by three lengths
MACHABYEBABY –
Was 8th at the half, followed weak cover fourth over and finished strongly to miss by two necks in a blanket finish while pacing his last quarter in :26 4/5

Left from post 6 and was parked the mile without cover, prompted the pace first over and held well for the show
STIRLING CORDELIA –
Left and was strung out parked the mile pressing a quick pace, held okay

Left from post 8 and was used hard to the lead in :27, set a pressured pace and excusably weakened while losing by three lengths

Left from post 9 and was used hard parked the mile without cover, wore down the leader in the stretch but was out-kicked in a game placing
KYLES SECRET –
Moved first over early and made up five lengths to reach the leader at the half, pressed the pace pacing a quick middle-half, weakened late but only lost by 3 lengths

Left from post 6, was used hard to the lead past a :26 1/5 opener, set a fast pace, weakened late but only lost by a length

Was 7th, third over behind poor cover, rallied three wide on the final turn and finished strongly for the place from a tough spot, last quarter in :29 flat

Trotter saved ground and was blocked most of the stretch
LONG BEACH –
Saved ground and was blocked along the inside in the stretch, appeared to have pace
BAGGAGE CLAIM –
Left hard and parked a horse to the lead, yielded, was third, moved first over and regained the lead approaching the three quarters, excusably weakened late
SIX GUN –
Left from post 9 and was used hard three deep to the lead in :26, set a fast pace and excusably weakened in the stretch on a night when no horse went wire to wire
DUNE DUDE –
Floated out leaving from post 6 and tucked in fifth position on the first turn, saved ground and was shuffled in tight quarters with no shot
BLOW A CLOUD N*** –
Yonkers shipper was dropping and was one of three leavers, yielded late on turn one while pacing a :26 3/5 first quarter, was third, brushed back to the lead at the half, went :27 1/5 in the third quarter, held gamely for the show
MONTICELLO
1/29: 4w, no bias, track was more tiring than usual, two winners rallied from 7th, one from 6th, and two from 4th on a ten race card that was a throwback to the old days
YONKERS

Trotter left from post 7, was used hard to the lead in :28, set the pace and held well to be second behind the pocket winner

Left from post 7, was parked the mile forcing a fast pace, pressed the 6/5 favorite, couldn’t get by him but held gamely for the show in a big effort
FREEZE OUT –
Had post 8, was third over, stormed three wide at the three quarters, took the final turn three deep while showing good pace, flattened out in the late stages
DRUNKEN DESIRE A –
Had post 7, made a break at the start but recovered quickly perhaps losing two lengths, swung out at the three quarters, tipped wide for the drive and finished with good pace
