Bob Pandolfo|Feb 09, 2018

CAL EXPO

2/3: 4w, no bias

2/2: 3w, no bias

HAWTHORNE

2/5: 3w, no bias, off track, cold, windy

2/3: 2w, + closers

2/2: 3w, no bias

NORTHFIELD

2/5: 5w, no bias

2/3: 6w, no bias

PINKPOLOSOCKS –

Left from post 6, tucked third, went first over into a stepped-up final half and held okay

MARIGOLD BLOOM –

Left and was used hard to the lead in :26 4/5, set a fast pace and just missed

FLIGHT SEELSTER –

Had post 7, was 8th at the half, followed cover and finished well from a tough spot

MIAMI VALLEY

2/5: 4w, no bias, sloppy track

2/3: 6w, no bias

2/2: 5w, no bias

CAMBASSADOR*** -

Left from post 9 and was used hard to the lead in :26 2/5, set a quick pace under pressure and was clearly second best behind the favorite in a sharp placing

SMOKE UP JOHNNY –

Had the rail and left to protect position pacing a :27 3/5 first quarter, went first over pressing a :27 3/5 third quarter and weakened; tougher trip than it looks, price factor

COLIN N DOWN –

Had post 7, was third over behind weak cover, finished well from a tough spot

A J CORBELLI*** –

Had post 7, was one of four leavers, followed cover then lost cover before the half, went up to prompt the pace on a tough uncovered grind and held okay considering

DALIWOOD –

Left from post 8 and was used hard to the lead in :27 1/5, set the pace under pressure and only lost by two lengths

DESIRE’S CAPTAIN –

Left from post 7 and was parked the mile without cover, prompted the pace from the half, weakened late but only lost by two lengths

STARLITE KID –

Left from post 7, was parked the mile without cover, pushed a :27 3/5 third quarter in a fast-paced race and only lost by a length

DOVER DOWNS

2/5: 6w, no bias

THE MEADOWS

1/27: 3w, no bias, off track

FREEHOLD

2/3: 2w, + closers, not a severe bias, pocket horses did well, but track did seem tiring, not easy to go wire to wire

2/2: 2w, + closers, tiring track, very windy

BUGATTI BEAUTY –

Had post 7, followed cover 4th over, followed cover three wide on the final turn and finished with good pace to finish third only two noses off the win

NOTEBOOKANDTABLET –

Left and was parked the mile without cover, prompted the pace, held okay considering

ARTS BLAZE –

4th over from post 8, rallied three wide off his cover on the final turn and finished gamely for the place from a tough spoit

MEADOWLANDS

2/3: 2w, + closers

2/2: 3w, + closers, not a severe bias, but some good horses lost on the front end after having to leave into the wind, and the three horses that went wire to wire were favorites, including two odds-on horses that laid over the field, so it didn’t appear to be an easy night to go wire to wire, cold, and strong headwinds

IRON DOME*** -

Broke before the start and was at least 18 lengths behind as he got back on stride, made up some ground on the inside, moved out of tight quarters late on the final turn, tipped wide for the drive and finished gamely to miss by two lengths in a big recovery

MAJESTIC SUNSET*** –

Was 4th over, stacked four wide late on the final turn and finished solidly for the show

ESPRIT DE KAYJAY A –

Left from post 9 and tucked 4th late on the first turn, went first over against a sharp favorite and held well for the show

ST LADS MOONWALK –

Left from post 7 and was used hard to clear at the three eighths pole, set a hot pace against the bias until yielding grudgingly at the three quarters and excusably tired

ALEXANDER HANOVER*** –

Trotter left and tucked second late on the first turn, was shuffled back in tight quarters and was 6th at the half, adeptly slipped out third over past the half, ducked back in for the drive, cleared late and finished gamely for the place

AWESOMENESS –

Followed cover 4th over, stacked wide turning for home, finished well, last quarter in :26

MAJOR WAR –

Left well and parked a horse to the quarter, yielded, was trapped behind horses in the stretch and cleared late with pace

DRUNKEN DESIRE –

Had post 2 but was 9th at the three quarters while third over, stacked very wide late on the final turn and finished quickly in an improved effort

MONTICELLO

2/5: 5w, no bias, off track

SOUTHERN CROSS –

Left from post 8, was parked the mile without cover, tough trip, held okay

YONKERS

2/5: 6w, + speed

2/3: 7w, + speed

2/2: 4w, no bias

GO COLLECT N –

Left well and was parked the mile without cover, pressed a quick pace, tough trip

A SWEET RIDE –

Left three wide into turn one and tucked late on the turn, went first over at the half, pressed a :27 4/5 third quarter and held well for the show beaten two necks

ANNABETH –

Had post 7, followed a weak flow of cover and finished with good pace for the show
