Followed dull cover third over off a slow pace and finished well from a tough spot

Quarter-moved three wide at the quarter then followed a horse’s cover, lost cover on the second turn and remained parked forcing a hot pace, brutal trip, throw this race out
OR –
Quarter-moved into a hot pace, took the lead on turn two, was under heavy pressure and held well for the show
DON’T TELL RUSTY –
Left and tucked third, went first over against a tough front runner, pushed a fast pace, couldn’t clear but kept on relentlessly to get up for a game win
ARCHETTO HANOVER –
Had post 6, went three wide around the final turn and finished willingly from a tough spot in a fast race for the class
ARROW –
Quarter-moved and got strung out forcing a fast pace as the 6/5 favorite, tough trip

IMPRESSIVE COWBOY –
Was 6th at the half, followed cover around a tiring horse then lost cover, finished okay for the show after a trip that was a bit tougher than it looks on paper
FULL OF SAND*** -
Left from post 8 and was used hard to clear the lead in :27, set a quick pace and didn’t tire that badly
REV ME UP –
Had post 10, hustled up approaching the half making up good ground, brushed three wide around tiring cover at the three quarters and finished willingly for the show
HAWK’S CRY SQUIRT –
Left from post 7 directly outside of two leavers including the six horse and was used hard three wide to the lead past a :27 3/5 opener, set the pace under heavy pressure and was a game second
BEST MAN HANOVER –
Shot to the lead in :26 2/5, set a quick clip and held well for the show
HOKURI HANDRAIL N –
Left from post 8, was parked the mile without cover prompting the pace and held the show gamely
DAKOTA ROADSTER –
Had post 6, was shuffled to 10th, followed weak cover past the half and finished solidly for the show from a tough spot
FRISKIE ADAM –
Had the rail, paced a :27 1/5 first quarter keeping up nicely to a fast opener, went first over approaching the half, battled hard through a :27 4/5 third quarter, held well
RED SCOOTER –
Left from post 9 and was used hard to the lead in :26 4/5, set the pace under some pressure and held well for the show
TEX –
Left strongly to the lead in :26 1/5, set a quick pace under pressure, held the show
POMPANO

KING OF THE CROP –
Had post 7, followed weak cover, finished willingly for the show

TONY TERROR*** –
Left to the early lead, yielded, went first over against the bias-aided 1/2 favorite into a stepped-up last half, paced a :27 2/5 third quarter, battled gamely to the wire to finish third, beaten only a length
GRATIAN HANOVER –
Left and couldn’t clear, got parked out forcing a fast pace, excusably tired

ROYALE BIG GUY –
Left sharply from post 7 and was parked to the lead in :27 1/5, set the pace under second-half pressure and only lost by 3 lengths; price factor in exotics now
ROCKIN RUM SPRINGA*** –
Came off a layoff sharp for Burke barn, left fast from post 8 to the lead in :26 3/5, was on the muscle and a bit hard to control as she raced two wide for most of the first half, set a lively pace, was tiring late but held on for a game win in her first start of the year
SKULL OF ROSES –
Left from post 6 but was looped by the 7 horse and drove on to the lead parked to the half, set the pace from there and held okay for the show
D GS JUSTLIKETHAT –
Left from post 7,was used hard to a :26 2/5 opener, set the pocket chasing a hot pace, held okay and may be live at a price
FREEHOLD

2/17: 7w, + speed
MY LOVE BI -
Trotter broke approaching the half, recovered, made up a lot of ground, followed cover three wide on the final turn and held well for the show
MEADOWLANDS

OHOKA TEXAS N –
Was 9th, followed excess cover, finished well for the show from a tough spot
DURANT –
Left well and yielded, pulled out in traffic in the stretch, was impeded by a breaker, recovered, cleared late with good pace
ONTARIO SUCCESS –
Floated out and was three wide part of turn one, tucked in the backstretch but not for long, pulled first over, grinded into contention, never really got to the leader but held well
CALVIN B –
Left from post 9 and got parked the mile, steadily approached, challenged at the three quarters, took the lead briefly in midstretch, weakened but held okay, tough trip
QUALITY CLOSER –
Left alertly to the early lead and yielded, angled out in the stretch but was blocked behind horses, cleared too late to threaten but had pace
ROCK STAR –
Was 10th and stuck behind excess cover, stacked wide for the drive and finished quickly
YONKERS

2/18: 3w, + closers, track seemed much more tiring than usual
2/17: 6w, + speed, not a strong bias
NEVER SAY NEVER N –
Left from post 8, tucked 4th, went first over and drew off full of pace
BETABCOOL N –
Had post 7, floated out and took a quick tuck 6th improving position, flushed out cover at the half, finished well with a :27 4/5 last quarter

Had post 7, followed cover third over and finished with solid pace, last quarter in :27 flat

Had post 6, followed weak cover third over and finished in :26 4/5 for the show
