Harness: Sharp Horses and Track Trends for December 20 to 22

NORTHFIELD

BAHAMA BAY –

Left from post 6 and tucked 4^th, went first over against a sharp bias-aided favorite, paced a :28 3/5 third quarter pressing the pace and was a game second

FOX RIVER MARK –

Left from post 6 and was used hard to the lead in :27 4/5, set a quick pace and held well for the place

SWAN YANKEE –

Trotter dropped in class, drew post 8, left and tucked 5^th, broke past the quarter and dropped 17 lengths behind, recovered, rallied three wide off poor cover around the final turn, made up a lot of ground and finished gamely for the show

OLIVIA V*** -

Changed barns and got a big driver change to Aaron Merriman, left from post 7, raced parked out forcing a fast pace, finally took over at the three quarters and drew clear

THE MEADOWS

12/21: 4w, no bias

12/20: 1w, no bias

STARTHIMUP –

Left from post 7, was parked to a quick half for the lead, yielded to the winner and was a game second in an improved effort

MEADOWLANDS

12/22: 5w, no bias but speed held better than it did in the cold weather

IDEAL NUGGETS –

Left and tucked third on turn one, rushed up before the half to force a quick pace while unable to clear, excusably tired

THAT WOMAN HANOVER –

Left and set a fast pace under pressure, didn’t tire that badly

NOT BEFORE EIGHT –

Gapped cover second over then got badly blindswitched at the three quarters, cleared late with good pace

MONTICELLO

12/22: 9w, ++ speed, all 9 races won by the pacesetter

12/21: 5w, no bias

MOONLIGHT ARTIST*** –

Had post 7, picked up weak cover third over, stormed three wide at the three quarters, took the final turn three deep while showing good pace and held gamely for the show

SHADIOS –

Left from post 6 and was used hard to the lead in :27 3/5, yielded to the favorite at the three quarters and excusably weakened

MAKE IT KATE –

Left from post 7 and was three wide and used very hard, finally cleared to the two path entering the third turn, excusably faded in the stretch but only lost by 4 lengths

SAINT WILLIAM A*** -

Left from post 7, was used hard to the lead past a :28 2/5 first quarter, yielded to the sharp 1/9 favorite and was a sharp second
