CAL EXPO   1/1: 3w, no bias 12/30: 3w, no bias ALLMYX’SLIVENTEXAS – 3-1 favorite showed some early speed from post 6, tucked 4th, was shuffled to 8th, followed cover and finished well for the show after the less-than-ideal trip   NORTHFIELD   1/2: 4w, no bias, sloppy track 1/1: 7w, + speed 12/30: 3w, no bias ALL FIRED UP – Left and was used hard parked past a :26 4/5 first quarter, yielded, chased the pace and held gamely for the place BILBO HANOVER*** – Left from post 7 and was used hard to clear past a :27 flat first quarter, rated a quick pace in the slop under second-half pressure and had something left to hold sway by a length   DOVER DOWNS   1/2: 5w, no bias, sloppy track GOTTI – Left from post 7 and tucked 5th, rushed up approaching the half, kept the pressure on through a :28 2/5 third quarter over the sloppy track, didn’t tire that badly   POMPANO   1/2: 4w, no bias 1/1: 3w, no bias 12/31: 6w, + speed   THE MEADOWS   1/2: 5w, no bias GOKUDO HANOVER – Left from post 7, was parked to the lead in :27 1/5, rated a quick pace, drew off down the back and was a handy and sharp winner DAPPER DUDE – Was 4th over from post 7, swung wide for the drive and finished fast   MEADOWLANDS   12/31: 7w, no bias, speed held well but it wasn’t impossible to win from off the pace 12/30: 8w, + speed, mild headwinds ZUZU*** – Trotter had post 2, left a bit to get around the one horse and took an early tuck, saved ground, pulled out at the half but it looked like the driver may have pulled too late so he ducked back in and got locked in and shuffled back, cleared late and finished fast GO FOR SAND – Followed dull cover from 4th over, stacked wide, finished with good pace for the place DELIGHTFUL DRAGON – Left from post 9 and tucked 4th, went first over against a sharp even money winner, prompted the pace, held her ground gamely to be second best BLUSH HANOVER – Saved ground from post 9, tried to come up the rail but was blocked until late PURITY – Left from post 9 and got strung out for the mile, raced parked uncovered and held well CITY PIE – Followed cover, went three wide at the three quarters, edged wider in the stretch and was moving well on the way to an apparent win when he broke stride ROOSTER RABBIT – Left from post 10 and tucked third, went first over nearing the half, pressed the pace, couldn’t clear, was shaken off in the stretch but held okay DOWNTHEHIGHWY – Left from post 8 and was used hard to clear past a :26 3/5 first quarter, yielded, set a fast pace under pressure and excusably tired TITUS SEELSTER – Saratoga shipper came off a layoff, left sharply to the early lead, yielded grudgingly past a :26 3/5 opener, pulled to challenge approaching the three quarters, put a head in front turning for home but ran out of gas late in a solid hard-used effort HUGH HEFNER N – Was 7th, followed dull cover, swung three wide at the three quarters, edged four wide in the stretch and finished gamely for the show JETSKI LOUIE – Left from post 10 and was three wide on turn one, tucked in the pocket but then decided to go after the lead and got parked out without cover, tough trip UPFRONT LORNE – Was 8th at the half following poor cover, charged three wide at the three quarters and finished gamely for the show from a tough spot [DRF HARNESS EYE: The digital edition of Harness Eye is now available for just $6!
