Bob Pandolfo|Apr 14, 2016

CAL EXPO

4/10: 4w, no bias

4/9: 5w, no bias

LIEUTENANT STEVE -

Broke at the start, made a nice recovery, followed cover, finished fast to just miss

FULL MOON RISING -

Was stymied by gappers and poor cover, rallied three wide at the three quarters and finished gamely for the show from a tough spot

HOOSIER

4/9: 6w, no bias

4/8: 2w, + closers, off track

4/7: 5w, no bias

GLOIRE DREAM -

Trotter was far back from post 9, followed weak cover and finished strongly for the place

FASHION DELIGHT -

Made two moves to the lead setting a fast pace, held well for the show

NORTHFIELD

4/9: 11w, ++ speed

DOVER DOWNS

4/7: 5w, + speed

THE MEADOWS

4/9: 8w, + speed, sloppy track

EASY AGAIN -

Left quickly, shook off pressure and drew away to an easy win over a good field

PICK SIX -

Left from post 8 and parked to the lead in :27 over the sloppy track, set the pace and was 2nd best to a sharp 6/5 winner

PHILADELPHIA

4/10: 6w, no bias

4/8: 7w, + speed

4/7: 4w, no bias

KEYSTONE RIPTIDE -

Had post 7, followed cover and finished with solid pace for the place from a tough spot

DRUNK ON YOU -

Left hard, parked a horse to the lead in :26 4/5, yielded, regained the lead before the half, gave way late but held the show

WHATAGAMBLE -

Left from post 7 and was used hard to the lead in :26 4/5, yielded, weakened late but has dangerous speed against this type

ALLSTAR LEGEND -

Blasted to the lead in :25 4/5, set a fast pace and lost by less than two lengths

COLOSSAL -

Left from post 8, had the pocket, pulled first over, prompted a :27 1/5 third quarter and held well considering the trip

POCONO

4/10: 9w, + speed, not impossible to close on 4/9 or 4/10 but leavers had an advantage; I'd call it a mild bias
4/9: 5w, + speed, mild speed bias

DADDY MAC -

Left fast from post 9 to the lead in :26 2/5, set the pace and held well for the show

FREEHOLD

4/9: 6w, + speed, sloppy track

4/8: 6w, + speed

4/7: 2w, + closers, sloppy track, track was tiring and much less speed favoring than it usually is

MEADOWLANDS

4/9: 4w, + closers, tough call, not a strong bias but certainly not easy to go wire to wire, mild bias

4/8: 3w, + closers, mild bias

SHEEZA SHARK N -

Was 8th in her U.S. debut, followed weak cover, swung three wide at the three quarters and rallied boldly to win going away while pacing her last quarter in :26 flat

SOUTHWIND INDY -

Left to the early lead, moved again just past the quarter and was used hard to clear to a quick :54 half, gave way on the wire in a game placing

GRATIAS DEO -

Left from post 7 and was pushed three wide briefly on the first turn, lost cover and was parked the mile on a long first over grind, gradually made his way up into contention, leveled off in the stretch but held his ground gamely for the show

INTHEBLINKOFANEYE -

Left and got away with a soft :29 opener, picked up the tempo considerably from there with owner Bob Di Nozzi in the bike and this hard-trying 11-year-old would not be denied; reclaimed and should continue to race gamely

WILD SHOT HANOVER -

Left from post 6 and was parked the mile without cover, prompted the quick pace and excusably tired in what appeared to be a pretty good field for the NW3500 level

MONTICELLO

4/7: 5w, + speed, sloppy track

YONKERS

4/9: 8w, + speed

4/8: 3w, no bias

4/7: 9w, + speed

LUCKY COLBY -

Trotter left and tucked 4th, went first over, trotted a :28 1/5 third quarter, finished gamely to just miss

WHITE MOUNTAIN TOP*** -

Had post 8 in his 2nd start off the layoff, made a strong three wide move into the final turn to clear poor cover, settled in second over, tipped wide for the drive and finished sharply for the win from a tough spot, pacing his last quarter in :27 4/5

STAY UP LATE -

Third over behind weak cover on the third turn, stormed three wide down the back pacing a :27 2/5 third quarter to reach the leader, wore that one down but was nailed in deep stretch in a solid placing

THEREISAPACEFORUS -

Had post 7, followed cover third over and finished with good velocity for the show
