Quarter-moved into a hot pace, took the lead approaching the three quarters, was put to immediate pressure and yielded to the winner but chased him home gamely, 2nd best

Trotter left from post 7 and was parked the mile without cover, grinded into contention first over, took the lead into the stretch, was out-kicked by the pocket horse late
FEELNLIKEAROCKSTAR –
Was 6th at the quarter, hustled up first over from a tough spot, engaged the leader at the half, edged past him in the stretch then dug in gamely to hold off the closers
DAKOTA ROADSTER –
Was 10th at the half, picked up terrible cover, swung three wide at the three quarters and finished with pace from a tough spot
SMOKIN WILLIE –
Left from post 9 and was parked the mile, followed cover, lost cover past the half and went up first over to prompt the pace, took the lead in the stretch, held the show

Left from post 7 and was used hard to the lead in a wicked :25 2/5, set a quick pace and was second best to the sharp closing favorite

Left from post 8 and was parked hard before taking the lead at a :53 3/5 half, yielded and excusably weakened

5/6: 9w, no bias, tricky call, but I can’t call it a speed bias, three horses rallied to win from off the pace, from 5th, 5th, and 7th, eight of the nine wire to wire winners were the favorite, and 7 heavily bet odds-on favorites won on the lead

Was 6th at the half, followed cover, swung three wide midway on the final turn and finished sharply to just miss

Was 7th at the half, pulled first over and made a strong move to take the lead at the five eighths, drew off to a clear lead and held on gamely driving for a sharp win

Well bred colt had post 10 in his 3yo debut, looked to leave but decided against it and merely floated into a tuck 9th on turn one, saved ground and was moving well late
HEAVENLY SOUND –
Showed good early speed in the mile and an eighth Graduate, was shuffled back to 7th and came on again gamely late; probably needs weaker competition but this was solid
MISS TRIXTON –
Trotter had post 10, followed cover, swung three wide late on the final turn and finished fastest of all to just miss
RATHER SWELL –
Left alertly and yielded, was third, pulled on the final turn, drew clear sharply in the lane
MAJOR AUTHORITY –
Had post 9 and was on the move at the quarter, followed cover third over, followed cover three wide around a tiring horse and finished with solid pace to miss by two noses
MATEO –
Saved ground and was 7th locked inside at the three quarters, was moving well in the stretch but had to be taken up late to avoid running into horses
