7th at the half, followed weak cover while third over, rallied three wide on the final turn and finished sharply for the place, last quarter in :26 4/5

PHILADELPHIA

ABERFORTH -

Trotter was first over a long way prompting the pace against the 3/4 winner, held well

THE MEADOWS

4/15: 7w, no bias, borderline speed bias, hard to gauge because covered closers did okay so I left it as no bias

4/14: 8w, + speed

4/13: 5w, no bias

IN A BETTER PLACE -

Was first over pushing a :27 3/5 third quarter, was shaken off but only lost by 2 lengths

DUE WEST HANOVER -

Was shuffled to 8th, followed weak cover and finished strongly in the stretch to get up

Shot to the lead in :26 2/5, set a quick pace and held well for the show for hot barn

Was parked the mile without cover from post 7, tough trip but held okay

GONE BABY GONE -

Made two moves to the lead setting a fast pace, tried to bottom out the field, weakened but held okay for the show

Had post 8, broke before the start, recovered far back, did well to close for the show

IDEAL WILLIE -

Left from post 7 and was used hard parked to the lead in :27 1/5, second a quick pace under second-half pressure and excusably tired

ACHILLES BLUE CHIP -

Was third over behind weak cover, finished sharply for the show
