Harness: SBOANJ announces new breeder award program

The Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey announced on Tuesday (4/16) a new Breeders Award Program effective immediately that will benefit the breeders of horses who earn money in state-specific stakes races. The benefit was made possible by the $10 million subsidy ($600,000 of which is for breeder awards) appropriated to the racing industry by the state earlier this year.

The breeder of any horse which earns a check in the following elimination races and finals will receive a 15% bonus payable 30 days after the race is contested.
