A new high mark of $27,972,000 for the mixed sale in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was set after the conclusion of the second session on Friday (November 10). That total eclipsed the previous record of $27,515,900 established in 2006. Three-year-old filly trotters led the action on Friday, with HIP 1417 Swanky Hanover, HIP 1472 Bella Ciao and HIP 1606 Heaven Hanover all selling for $450,000. Preferred Equine Marketing consigned Swanky Hanover, a full sister (Muscle Hill-Secret Magic) to Manchego who was purchased by Jim Avritt Sr. and Bella Ciao, another daughter of Muscle Hill from the family of Bella Bellini who was acquired by Winning Key. Diamond Creek consigned Heaven Hanover, this year's Hambletonian Oaks champion. Agent Robert Lindstrom bought Heaven Hanover. Multi-time stakes winner McSeaside (HIP 1382), a 3-year-old filly by Downbytheseaside, went to Erika Sergent for $360,000 and Silly Me Hanover (HIP 1416), a sophomore daughter of Walner, was taken by Hanover Shoe Farms for $335,000 to round out the top five. Point Of Perfect, a 3-year-old Walner colt, also won his Hambletonian elimination earlier this year. The two-day average for 605 lots was $46,235, which was down from last year's $52,224 for 492 horses and stallion shares sold.
