Harness racing: USTA offers 25-part series on ownership

Award-winning freelance writer Bob Carson launched his latest literary venture on www.ustrotting.com on Thursday, March 1. The 25-part series focuses on the journey of seven racing newbies and their first venture into harness ownership.

Titled “Running Down a Dream,” the series details the ins and outs of owning a horse from the perspective of e-mail conversations between the author and the new owners.

The feature revolves around the filly Fantail Hanover, from her purchase at auction through her turnout at the end of her 2-year-old racing season.
