DOVER DOWNS

1/30: 5w, + speed, leavers and first over horses won most of the races

WESTPORT -

Third over behind poor cover, finished well against the speed bias

ALL ABOUT RUSTY -

Was 6th at the quarter, made a long first over bid and held well to the wire

BAD MAN SAM*** -

Left from post 7 and moved three wide to the lead past a :26 1/5 first quarter, set the pace and just missed to the pocket-rocket winner

LINDWOOD PLAYER -

Was third over behind weak cover, stormed wide to reach the leader and held okay

CAL EXPO

2/1: 4w, no bias

1/31: 4w, no bias

BREAKIN LOOSE -

Was 13 lengths behind early, finished strongly to just miss

VILLAGE BENJAMIN -

11-year-old was far back early from post 7, followed cover 4th over and finished solidly to draw clear late

NORTHFIELD

2/1: 6w, no bias, speed did well but five winners rallied from far back

1/31: 5w, no bias

1/30: 4w, no bias

CJ'S SWEET RACER*** -

Left from post 5 and was parked to the lead in :28 1/5, yielded, ended up third and went first over, regained the lead at the three quarters and didn't tire that badly, holding show

THE MEADOWS

1/31: 6w, no bias

T T TUCKER -

Followed cover third over and finished quickly to just miss

AUTOMATIC SLIMS*** -

Hustled out from post 7 and was parked to the lead in :26 3/5, set a quick pace bottoming out the field with a :27 third quarter and drew off

FREEHOLD

2/1: 6w, + speed

1/31: 5w, + speed

GOLDEN FOOL -

Left from post 8 and was used hard to clear in :28 4/5, set the pace and didn't tire that badly

ARTLIGHT HANOVER -

Left from post 7 and was parked the mile without cover, grinding off the loose-on-lead bias-aided winner and held gamely for the show

MONTICELLO

1/30: 3w, no bias

ONE SHARK ROAD -

Had post 8 and was 7th at the half and stuck behind poor cover, made a big wide move gaining 6 lengths, flattened out but held okay from a tough spot

MAJO JUST DO IT -

7th at the half while 4th over, rallied wide around the final turn and finished well

YONKERS

2/1: 4w, no bias

1/31: 7w, + speed

1/30: 5w, no bias

WAYWARD SON -

Left and was cooked in a speed duel with the 4-5 favorite; a throw out race

GRACE SEELSTER -

Had post 6 and was third over, finished quickly to miss by a head

MISS COCO LUCK -

Had post 8, followed cover third over, gained at each call and finished fast to miss by a nose to the front-running even money winner

SUMMER SNOW -

Was first over a long way from post 7, pushed the odds-on winner and held well

TARPON HANOVER -

5th at the half and first over, paced a :27 2/5 third quarter against the tough 4-5 winner and held well for the show

N J LAW -

Had post 6 in a race with no real flow, flushed out weak cover down the back, moved three wide late on the final turn and finished well for the place

CASHENDASH HANOVER -

Had post 7, moved up along the rail down the back and finished well along the inside

FAT MANS ALLEY*** -

Was third over behind a first over horse Dovuto Hanover that was unable to reach the leader while having problems on the turns, rallied wide for the drive and was flying late

SAFE HARBOR -

Left from post 8 and was four wide into the turn then settled back into a tuck 4th, went first over into a :28 1/5 third quarter and held okay

A J CORBELLI*** -

Classy grinder/closer had to pull first over from 5th, was well rated on the rim by Pierce, finally reached the leader late on the final turn and drew clear strongly in a big effort

SHOW ME UP -

Followed weak cover third over, charged wide late-final turn and finished quickly

SILENT SWING -

Classy 12-year-old has lost a step or two and isn't an Open pacer anymore, but he's still tough. He rushed up uncovered mid-third turn, was pushed three wide when a horse pulled out in front of him, took the lead after uncorking a :27 third quarter and dug in bravely to hold off the inside closer under strong handling by Ron Pierce, who won 6 on the night
